Why do you talk to me about Matthysse?lol That was a great win for Garcia. What I'm talking about ATM is that how can you consider Garcia as a top 10 P4P fighter after a Salka win and gift win against Herrera? Poor Herrera that got robbed twice in the same year...atsch

 

everybody fights bums at one point or another in their career.... you act like danny is the only one who has done it... chavez got a gift draw against whitaker, is he not p4p best fighter from mexico in your eyes either going by your logic?

danny deserves to be there more so the GGG, how GGG got there by beating the salkas of his division is beyond me.

 

Seriously. I couldn't watch the Benevidez fight live but I saw the headline about the robbery on ESPN and felt terrible for the guy. I watched it the next day and sure enough, it was an awful decision.

 

I didn't see all of it. I just remember after the fight, saw floods of people crying robbery. Herrera probably won too, it sucks that he gets screwed over by boxing politics.

It's not like he can change his style either at this stage. I hope for the best of him and hope he gets a better promoter.

 

Everybody fights bums? And you tell me this like it's normal to have a title shot without being in the top 15 of your division. Yeah..in Haymon's world, I guess this is normal...

I actually quite like his style, his connections must not be as good as his style.

 

people say on here that the person whos landing the harder shots wins the fight...now going by that logic herera loses... i had benevidez winning 7-5, it could have been a draw but look at the connect% at the end of the fight, i believe it favored benevidez..IIRC

 

Everyone does fight bums, but it comes off a little disingenuous to compare a Salka level bum to other bums. I love GGG but you'll get no arguments from me that Danny's top flight competition was better than GGG's on the way up. But since GGG got there he's been fighting the best that will get in the ring with him at MW. It wasn't a good look for Danny to take on Salka after getting a gift against Herrera.

Danny had 2 extremely hard fights in a row in Judah and Matthyse. Brutal fights in which he took plenty of punishment. After beating the number 1 contender in Matthyse and being the undisputed JWW champ of the world, he needed a soft match, so he fought Herrera(a fighter he and all of us greatly underestimated).

Another war happened and Danny took more punishment and won the fight in a close decision.

3 brutal wars in a row and he fights Salka at showtime for a highlight reel KO which he easily did in spectacular fashion.

Now he's fighting Peterson at a catchweight(which is ****ing stupid seeing as hiw they're both champs at 140, but whatever. More to do with Haymon than Garcia).

 

The sport you love isnt going anywhere because you agree to disagree with a personatsch use your brain its a debate... now, im not defending the Salka fight at all but like i said everyone fights tomatoe cans till their ready to step up in competition or @ one point or another, thats how boxing works......now danny had beat nate campbell,arnaoutis,morales 2x, khan,judah, Mathysse, hererra, leothaphane, why isnt he entitled to fight an easy fight? GGG has been doing it his whole damn career pretty much but hes top 10? hell no.. wisen up son, you dont want to drive people away from the sport "we" love do you?:think

 

Sorry, but Salka as a choice of opponent is unexcusable. Nothing can justify that.
