There's also a difference between coming off a big knockout loss and coming off a win over Judah in which Garcia took average punishment at most, a true war with Matthyse and a 'win' against Herrera where it would be a stretch to say punishment was dished out on either side.
Well...if it can bring me a nice pay day, why not! By saying that...you've just admitted that Salka as a choice of opponent was ridiculous.
In all seriousness, Danny is a very good fighter who got lucky against Herrera (so have a lot of people in boxing history) and then took a sham of a fight against Salka. This period will not define his career. What he did before his last 2 fights was very impressive and it will be what he does from here on out that determines how he will be remembered.
of course... it was an unacceptable choice of opponent, but that cant take away what hes accomplished in the sport of boxing... i think he deserves a top 10 spot over someone like GGG imo of course.
But these P4P lists are meant to reflect current form. GGG has looked terrific. Danny did not look good against Herrera and then had a nothing fight against Salka. The last time we saw him look good in the ring against an opponent of any note was 2013. That's why Ward isn't on these lists either. He has had exactly the same number of fights in which he has looked good as Danny has since 2013.
Kovalev is in everyone's top 10 already. Geale and Murray are both good wins and both are in the last 10 months. He also looked terrific in both fights.
