Dannyboy is like Badou Jack for me. I've "defended" them over years and eventually start to like them a little bit because everybody else hates them so much without consistency.
He got that right. Brandon Rios is the Mexican American A.B.. He was Arums culture pass when he literally ran out of Mexican fighters to exploit. HBO liked that he stood there and got punched in the face and considers it a skill. Rios was always a fraud and Garcia knew it too. Danny should be very happy to break his dry spell putting a fraudster to sleep in Vegas again.
Rios should go down in weight or retire....................he was used...................he is a warrior though............
How is this supposed to make me like him any better? Oh, he tried to get Rios to buck up, good for him, that sounded as insincere as ****.
And it was an opponent he cherry picked... Rios was brought in for Garcia to look good. I cant stand that ***** one bit and i used to root for him.
Well, a lot of guys in the sport (especially the self-serving colossal douches we all like to paint Danny as the poster boy for) wouldn't even feel obligated to bother with so much as that minimal gesture toward an easily vanquished and KTFO rival. He didn't say anything like "ignore the critics, you're in all seriousness championship material and came up just short against my supreme greatness!" to blow smoke up Brandon's ass or inflate his own achievement. I took it as more just "don't let anyone **** on you for losing, you took your lumps better than most could ...props"
I took it this way, Danny is a self-serving colossal douche, his handler have told Danny he's a self-serving colossal douche, and that was his half hearted attempt to make himself look better. It was ultimately..... self serving. He didn't believe a word of it.
He is calling out internet keyboard warrior couch potatoes. AKA, he is calling out the lot of us all. Rios would badly f*** up such an insane % of posters on this forum. You shouldn't feel any kind of negative way about this otherwise he is certainly talking about your internet keyboard warrior couch potato ass.
Who exactly are throwing off on Rios? Most of us were saying the match was a one sided cherry pick, and some, not myself thought it shouldn't be sanctioned. Rios is clearly pas his prime, he was stopped by Tim Bradley and had one match against that beast Aaron Herrera, he wasn't close to the version that fought Timmeh, much less Pac, he was bordering on shot then. Danny was projecting his hatred of fans through his quasi half hearted defense of Rios
As with most bold statements on a forum, I know exactly your opinions and would even agree with everything... if you weren't nearly to such the extreme. Shouldn't have been sanctioned? Please. 98% of boxing matches wouldn't ever happen by that standard. It is what it is. Don't worry, nobody is elevating Danny Garcia based on his KO'ing the caveman, you can rest easy.
I wouldn't say that was throwing off on Rios, it was concern for his health, while at the same time rooting for him to KO that rat ****. Most thought he was shot and his best days are behind him and he is. That's not vitriolic hate is it?
