I said Bobick wasnt on Coetzees level, but he was better than Wepner. I think Bobick wins somewhat decisevly.
yeah, it was pretty bad russell. mainly because of wepner's rabbit punching. who did you have ahead until the stoppage? I had bobick ahead with 4 points. he was landing the harder blows. bobick was definately better then wepner, who was really just a crude brawler. bobick was more of a boxer puncher himself.
Even though Bobicks career took a somewhat dissaponting turn he did have a solid and strong amatuer background which counts for something, at least against Journeyman types like Wepner.
Didnt score it but I can't imagine having Wepner ahead using any criteria. See that ridiculous shot Wepner loops and hits Bobick in the back with?
haha did you watch the Ali fight?? Ali started rabbit punching him when Wepner wouldn't stop. I have one more Bobick fight, and a Jimmy young fight that I'm going to upload. Maybe highlights of the Young fight, because it's kind of dull.Hopefully then I'll be able to analyze Bobick better. there's not too many fights with him in it. From what I can see, he's a slugger with some skill, a good right cross,and decent combinations. He also had a decent chin.
