It's off the charts How sure are we this is going to remain a boxing match and not turn into an MMA rolling around on the floor on top of each other fight? This content is protected bahaha both reading off a script.
True, neither of them seem great at talking in front of the camera. Joyce has gotten better at it, he always looked like a deer in the headlights before but he seems to have gotten more comfortable in recent interviews I've seen. Though he still can't trash talk, he's too much of a nice guy I think to be convincing at trash talk, same with Dubois, it's almost like a kid trying to put on an act at times when he tries to trash talk, he doesn't have a mean streak in him either despite his concussive power and imposing physique. They should both forget trying to trash talk it comes across cringey and contrived and just be themselves. I get they want to try and sell the fight but nobody is falling for their spiel.
oh come on, worst talkers of all times? its like they dont want to hurt each others feelings, before they punch each other to bits. lol
It's funny what people perceive as cringe worthy (or 'cringey' these days). I find them no more cringe worthy than listening to absolute numbskulls like Dereck Chisora, for example. Dereck Chisora talks absolute balderdash, but because he does it in this hard man way a lot of the deluded boxing population buy into it. His last "brutally honest" interview for IFL TV a few days after the Usyk fight was brutally cringe worthy, listening to him lie sentence after sentence, trying to justify everything and keep up appearances with the hard man nonchalant image. Fans bought into the likes of Carl Froch during his career, despite having one of the biggest egos in the history of homo sapien. I found that cringe worthy. Anthony Joshua with his scripted "much love", "stay humble" is just as cringe worthy. Watching Anthony Yarde lick his lips before every sentence, consciously trying to come across as smooth is cringe worthy. Then there's "lions in the camp". What's that all about? At least Dubois and Joyce aren't as false - not yet, anyway.
Yeah, those two definitely want to bump conkers Good luck to them, I actually think it's rather cute.
all i agree mostly, it is odd that two giant punching behemoths sound like they wouldnt say boo to a ghost. i imagine they respect each other and would be mates in real life, but in fight mode you really mean what you say, and do what you say. The pair of them dont look like they are in fight mode. Humble and shy are really two characteristics you apply to people who want to conquer all. I like em both anyway they are both decent chaps, and its gonna be a great fight!
