Dubois calls out Hrgovic

I love Dubois

He's a good lad and wants to fight the best without beating around the bush... He's forming quite a resume for himself.

Honestly, I don't believe he does think it was a legal shot.

He went into that fight knowing he'd have to foul to win and didn't really protest when it got called because he knew exactly what he was doing.

It's obviously very convenient later to "believe" it was a legal shot, because a rematch would've paid well and maybe he'd have got a more typical ref who'd either miss or tolerate the deliberate fouls.

Dubois has heart, but IMO he would lose to Hrgović by knockout.

The truth is simple - it was low, it wasn't the first time and the referee was correct to not give him the benefit of the doubt... And Dubois knew it, he'd have protested a lot more if he didn't.

 

Hrgovic is kind of silent, I hope he doesn't succumb to pressure, maybe the negotiations are already underway...

 

Silly fight. Dubois lost to Joyce who lost to Zhang who lost to Hrgovic. What chance does he have?

I have to go with Hrgovic via KO/TKO because he needs such a way of winning in order to earn the interest of boxing fans and therefore his price would probably increase...

 

There are some very unpredictable links in the chain, though...

Dubois lost to Joyce, clearly, and looked defensively poor in the process (especially because Joyce himself is and was in that fight so basic himself).

Joyce lost twice to Zhang, who clearly had his number... But Zhang has beaten nobody else remotely relevant.

Zhang lost to Hrgovic, in what was basically a 50/50 sort of fight that could be scored either way... Either way, Hrgovic has beaten nobody else remotely relevant, either.

These are guys who should be looking to build careers by making decent fights - if Hrgovic can't (or won't) make a fight with a higher profile and better opponent, then he can do an awful lot worse than fight someone who should be in roughly the right ballpark (as opposed to another soft touch).

 

The professors won’t know what do with him, I’ve looked into his soul, Daniel Dubois will **** them up.

 

I think Hrgovic knocks Dubois out, but I am not 100% convinced about that either. It could go Dubois way.
