Dubois, his handers and fans, are counting on three possibly largely fictional narratives.

 Usyk's age is a very legitimate reason not an excuse if he were to lose, unless you're of the opinion that 38.5 y/o fighters are in their prime

No 38.5 y/o is in their prime. Dubois is smack bang in the midst of his prime at 27-28 and obviously, duh, he's way bigger, heavier than Usyk and he hits like an absolute truck with a KO 95% and possesses devastating power, power which is devastating against fellow natural HWs and giants way way bigger than Usyk who relies on speed, reflexes, reaction times and his legs attributes which decline with age and it's already plain to see he has declined in all of those departments long ago?

The have only been 5 HW champions in the history of the sport who were still HW champions when they were older than Usyk is now and the 5th one was only 2 months older, the 3rd and the 4th were 12-14 months older than Usyk will be by the time he climbs into the ring

There has only been 2 unified HW champions older than Usyk is now and the 2nd one, again, was just a couple of months older

There has only been 1 undisputed HW champion older than Usyk is now and it's the same guy who was a couple of months older.

Usyk beats Dubois and he becomes the oldest undisputed HW champ of all time and the 2nd oldest unified one

All of boxing history is stacked against Usyk and Father Time's record vs boxers in their mid-late 30s is the greatest record in sports, even up at HW.

He's only lost 5 times against fighters Usyk's age in HW world title fights and even less in unified or undisputed HW fights and it didn't take long outside of Foreman for him to get his revenge and Foreman retired for a decade

And even then Father Time got his revenge against Foreman 5 months later when the mighty Axel Schulz was robbed blind vs him and Foreman lost every round vs Moorer prior to the KO when he won the HW title at that age

Comical how people are trying to pretend like youth isn't a big factor here and that Usyk is somehow still in his prime at 38.5 y/o

Yes it sure is. May be all the improvement he needs to get the job done. Time will tell. Hope it's a great fight and the best man wins without controversy.

One and two are true but I think Usyk is so superior that it makes the fight tighter not that an upset happens

Don’t bring up Ali for aging. Sheesh. Bring up BHop, Foreman, Holmes, etc.

I find it interesting that people hope for Parker next against Usyk. I feel like parker is nice to watch against big threats like zhang or joyce but against Usyk I expect a very evenly paced loss with little chances if Usyk hasn't grown old.
Wouldn't Kabayel be the way more interesting wildcard? Might lose decisively but would bring a whole new challenge for Usyk and would be interesting to watch how that plays out.

Dubois has a chance to win, but the outcome will be determined much more by how Usyk performs in the ring than by Dubois himself.

I told you all. Usyk used both hands and did it more easily this time.

The British promoters are masterful at convincing their countrymen that their best are, by virtue of being British, far and away the best in the world. Watch them do it again next big fight week with whatever narrative they can find.

As this thing got nearer, the delusion got stronger and stronger. People were saying things on here like, "all signs are pointing to an upset."

    THERE WERE NO SIGNS.

None. Dubois is still Dubois, and Usyk is clearly growing into the weight. Very predictable.
