2nd. He has 3 impressive wins in a row vs top 10/borderline top 10 guys. The fact that Fury did better vs Usyk doesn't hold as much weight than 3 wins over top 10 guys. Fury was lucky the fight wasn't stopped. If the ref allowed one more punch, the fight would have been over.
I would have Dubois only 2nd to Usyk at the moment and have him above the other HWs at this time The Ring has Fury at #1 but Fury's last 3 fights - loss to Usyk, Ngannou on his debut, Chisora who was 1-3 in his last 4 fights It's been over 2 years since Fury beat a top 10 rated HW I would have Dubois at #1 Dubois in under a year has beaten undefeated Miller, undefeated Hrgovic and Joshua
For me, yes. Fury performance in the Usyk rematch could change my ranking for better or worse though.
End of the day the fight wasn't stopped though, whereas Dubios took the knee. Dubios has solidified his position at #3 by beating #3. To get higher he needs to either do slightly more or Fury needs to lose his rematch.
So you rate Fury higher even though he hasn't beaten a top 10 rated HW for over 2 years? Would you have Chisora rated above Dubois because he went the distance with Usyk and recently beat Joyce, who beat Dubois? Or with that logic would you not have Joshua above Zhang as Joshua beat Parker and Zhang lost to Parker? Of course not Overall I rate Fury higher in overall accomplishments etc But monthly ratings can shift when someone hasn't done as much recently etc. You are rating Fury because he didn't lose as convincingly in one fight? In the year Dubois has beaten undefeated Miller, undefeated Hrgovic and Joshua all inside the distance
Fury is all washed up. He struggled with Ngannou. So he's not worthy of a rating. Usyk's on his way out but his win over Dubois in August 2023 keeps him on top.
Daniel took three fights back to back to back that wilder refused to do in fourty odd or so fights Criminal what was allowed to take place under that reign
Honestly no.3 might be a little low in terms of his actual level. He beat Joyce then got injured, beat Usyk by KO and beat AJ by KO. He also beat Croatian. Joyce beat Parker, Usyk beat Fury, Croatian beat Zhang, who beat Wilder. So we can make a case he's basically beaten everyone in a sense.
In terms of ranking he has to be third due to Fury and Usyk fighting over the titles and it actually being a fairly close fight and competitive fight. The title Daniel holds doesn't mean anything, it's the same title Fury and Usyk fought over 3 months prior so it's meaning is basically meaningless well know who the champion is. But in terms of career momentum, skill level, youth, determination I think it's possible Daniel might be second best heavyweight on the planet with the potential to beat anyone on a given day.
I still have Fury, Parker and Zhang above him. I can't rely deny him being number 5 though. He's young though so him getting to number two is easily achievable. The division is a shambles
You're getting mixed up with rating their whole careers rather than their rankings right now. Fury in his last 2 fights fought an MMA fighter and got dropped and alot of fans had him losing. He recently got dropped again and lost clearly to Usyk. Fury hasn't had a win over top 10 ranked fighter since 2022. Of course overall in their overall careers Fury rates higher than Dubois. But as of right now Dubois should be rated higher than Fury who is beltless and without any notable wins since 2022.
