Yarde looked great till he fought faded Kovalev and got stopped

Hunter looked great till he went life and death with faded Povetkin

Some people on here never learn the lesson

Usyk also was regarded as a superhuman demigod till he got his faced badly marked up by Chazz Witherspoon, hows that for a debut? I didnt see Hunter, or Dubois or any of these other HW prospects get their faces bashed and marked up like that

Dubois is 21 years old. I have said I really like him. Hes pretty skilled and fluid and seems natural in the ring instead of stiff and robotic like Ajagbo who looked very flawed last night . That being said hes a few years away from being a legit threat at the highest level. He isn't beating any of the top guys right now. His defense isn't there yet.

If he steps up his sparring and can maintain this confidence he is going to turn out to be a serious contender.

His punch selection and power are awesome though.

On technicals he has the beating of many contenders but if they can shake his confidence they may be able to beat him.

For now, he passes the eye test.

Throw Dubois into the pancake pit, with Andy Ruiz. And see how his power bails him out then! I bet that gluttonous blob would absorb everything Daniel throws at him, walks him down, chucks some honey syrup on him, and gobbles up that inferior wannabe Joshua clone! Lol

He’s 22. He looks very much as though he COULD be the real deal, but I don't see much benefit to throwing him in too deep at this stage. I’m sure slow, steady progress will frustrate some but there’s no reason why he shouldn’t spend two or three years building experience before he fights what might be considered a genuine 'threat'. Joshua was 26 by the time he fought Whyte.

Dubois is ice cold.. he hits hard like Wilder, his attack technique is impressive he has many weapons in the arsenal...as to the defence yeah sometimes looks robotic and too open but hes young and there is extensive room of improvement.

Fujimoto is a beast. Not anyone can say they KO'd him in 2 rounds. If I was a HW right now in the top 10, I would be absolutely terrified and losing sleep over DDD.... I'd probably be having nightmares about him, night sweats, shivering. I would be defeated before I even step in the ring with DDD

Can you imagine how a Price vs Dubois fight would go?

Price would have a panic attack, feint and bang his head on the ring apron before getting into the ring.

The opponent last night was poor. Really looked an easy end of year outing to fulfill a date contract and keep him in the public eye. Having said that, DD is gettting better. Bit smoother and less robotic in his movement. The power is there, he had a killer instinct, hunted him down impressively. Everything looks to be progressing well.

He does need to gradually up the level of his opponents, but talk of Dillian Whyte is premature. As others have said above, there's plenty of time, particularly in his division. He fought 5 times this year and done well, maybe reduce the frequency and up the quality.

Last night they were pushing a summer fight with Joe Joyce, presumably if he beats Huck that's for the EBU strap. That would be a good step up and a platform to build towards targeting top ten opponents year after. If he continues to progress I think he's too quick for Joyce.

Hmm... You mean like being regarded as a top HW, only to struggle with and drop rounds to shot to **** Mariusz Wach? I sure as hell didn’t see real top HWs like Wlad and Povetkin struggle with Wach like that, a much better Wach at that.

Good jab and power but he doesn't move his head at all and is stiff as a board. Can't miss him with right hands.
