Yeah I’d agree with that. He seems like a kid who’s dad (or whoever) has forced the life upon him. You look at Joshua and Fury, they’ve all got many defects but they’re both natural fighters. Joshua has came from the streets doing whatever, you seen him turn “road man” on breazeale. Fury a gypsy, they fight each other (and anyone else) from a young age and don’t stop! Dubois just seems like a nice kid who doesn’t know how he’s ended up here.
I think McGuigan will be a good fit for Dubois in terms of bringing out the best in him however..... his Dad appears to get a little too involved as we've now heard from a few people (most lately Mark Tibbs) and as we also know, the McGuigans very much like to do things on there terms.
Dubois will win a version of the world title sooner or later, this is a very good move for him too. He's got all the tools needed to compete at the top and is so young for a HW, with some tweaking and minor improvements he will be a very good fighter although it has to be said he will benefit from what is a really poor division once AJ and Fury are taken out of the equation.
Also no news about Usyk Dubois which has gone very quiet. “Details are unclear but spamSport understands that the move has come following a Dubois family dispute which led to Daniel leaving the gym but Caroline opted to stay. It tickled me when Mcguigan was trying to give Dubois a get out excuse after his last fight saying they think his leg/ankle had gone. But gormless smiling Dubois was saying it was fine and thinking he had done a great performance
Shanes actually a top trainer. It's a shame he doesn't sack the aul lad off unless he's rubbed off him too much and is just like him.
