I understand him because if guy during coming up stop to fight ppl quickly forgets him.
If there is too high risk to get been turned into guy that doesn't have licence anymore why not?

Guys just too much simple ranking fight with fight for major world tittle or it's defense. then yes, win or loss might seriously impact legacy and further paychceks too.

What's a tittle fight? is it where 2 titties battle it out to the death?

 

There are reasons why tittles matters.
1. If the boxer does have tittle, next his fight sells better. Also a tittleholer is on A side in negotiations if challenger doesn't have belt and especially in tittle defenses vs non mandatory challengers.
2. Not rarerly dangerous boxers are avoided and doesn't gets fights enough often. Unless they becomed mandatory and even then it is not fast process after this decision that one is mandatory challenger.
If the boxer does have a tittle, he does have more chances to negotiate next fights.
He is more interesting for media of course etc.

Simple ranking fights does have lesser attention from media and casual fans too.

 

This. If this is enough to mentally break him he’s in the wrong business. All that being said I put most of the blame on his team for not matching him appropriately before the Joyce fight, since Dubois got too used to fighting very soft competition, which is horrible for a young developing fighter.

Hopefully this was a wake up call, since I think Dubois still has the potential to do well, but he needs to be matched properly so he can learn his craft better.

 

If Dubois had any sense, he would leave uncle Frank's basement and head over to Alabama to meet Mr Haymon and the bomb squad. We'll build him up slowly with 30 fights against top 100 and 90 ranked contenders and get him a eliminator in 2030 against grandpa Ortiz, to boost up his confidence. Just needs to build up the courage and sign that lucrative contract.

Maybe he's distraught, maybe he's fired up to prove people wrong now. Nobody knows how he will take the defeat and criticism, it makes some people fold, makes some people stronger and more determined.

He should expect that given the way he capitulated (though I think he was perfectly justified in doing so).

As BB says he'll either never live it down or it'll make him determined to prove the doubters wrong. I'm very much in the neutral camp as to which it is, but good on him if he learns from this and becomes a better fighter.
