Hughie Fury for example as boring as he is, has fought far better fighters back to back and back again, he is now on the level where he shouldnt be fighting the solowkski's of the world. lol. Wach isnt a great fight, Its gonna stink, but wach will give him enough time to show abit more offensive development (god i hope for once hughie does) lol.

I first read about DD's blind comment in another thread. My first thought was - what? That's not like him at all.

Most likely he was coached to say that. Or he was trying to step outside his duller than a dishrag persona  and bombed :eusa_doh:

    Truth.
But compared to last nights HW headliners, Hughie's personality is sparkling

Also don't forget, he comes from a line of fighting men !

Chucking him into the garage is what you want to do. I think he should start from the beginning and rebuild.

Joyce is top 15 now...not before this started.

that rarely works for fighters. they never go back to bum level and gradually step up, level at a time after a loss, the promoters dont want that ****. mr frank will want to milk him for whats he worth now, expect dubois to fight a decent fighter in 2 fights time, beating up old unknown europeans and africans no one has heard off will do nothing for a mans career or earning opportunities. thats the sad reality. dubois could go learn in a new gym or move to america and get a new trainer and make himself a better more rounded fighter, but chances are thats not going to happen.

They can when they are 23 and never learned anything in the first place. He can definitely do a career reset.

Throwing him in there with a good fighter before he learns a few new tricks will destroy his career. By the way, he has optic nerve damage, so regardless of whether you think he can improve or not, he will be taking a few soft fights.

the business is full of sharks, frank will put him on the backburner maybe never to return. i just go by the cutthroat history of this sport. dubois will need to get back fighting a decent opponent soon or his career wont pan out good.

Guy...it isn't going to happen. They are going to have to test the eye, he is going to have to rebuild, and he will not be a valuable money-maker until he does some rebuilding.

But I am done arguing the obvious. Good not, and in a year or more when his eye is ready, we will see.

you make a good arguement, but i think hes done if he thinks he can fight 5 low level or no danger opponents and still be relevant. the division would be moved forward by then. dubois is going to struggle unless he gets hungry fast.

I think he needs to switch trainers/move to a new gym. He needs to learn not to throw everything at 100mph and to relax a bit or he’ll always end up gassed and shell shocked when he doesn’t bowl the other guy over. Maybe face someone who tests his boxing ability rather than someone who would probably pound his face in again like Bakole.

Wow I didnt know that. Would have never thunk Dubois could say something this classless. Pretty Shakespearean that Dubois lost because Joyce forced his eye shut after mocking Joes blind mother

aGREE, but before fighting he needs to fix his nose and left eye, then regain confidence with a very good win. I heard Ajagba, if I was his manager, I wouldn't let Ajagba near him.

Ajagba really isnt very good, certainly not JJ level. If DD has any confidence left he knocks him out.

It was quite pathetic, and it came across as quite forced. Like a soft ass trying to act hard. Joyce's mom asked him something and to paraphrase, he basically said, since you're blind, it'll save you the pain of having to see your son knocked out.

And yeah, poetic justice indeed. Almost as if it went according to plan for Joyce.:sisi1

Regardless of the defeat against Joyce I feel like Dubois would kick Bakole’s ass...
