Dubois still a quitter

That’s fair I wasn’t commenting about the quality of the win, just that he tends to be able to stay in when he’s able to get his offence off - fist or head (love the billy goat reference). When he can’t get his offence off he doesn’t want to take any more unreturnable punishment.

 

Usyk destroyed him psychologically, because Dubois couldn't hit him. He got hit plenty against Miller and Hrgović and didn't quit and he flatlined AJ after he was buzzed.

 

It’s unfair to call him a quitter when he can’t spell it

 

I still have some question marks surrounding Dubois though.

I'm not saying he can't overcome some adversity.

But if you've voluntarily quit twice i still think he could quit again.

I'm not counting the Joyce fight because that was a bad injury to his eye and he gets a pass for that.

But I still think if someone like Kabayel is constantly pressuring him and landing body shots I do wonder how he will react.

Also someone like Itauma a fast skillful southpaw and he's had immense trouble vs southpaws in the past.

I wonder how Dubois will react getting hit consistently but a fast hard hitting southpaw like Itauma.

 

Let's see how he reacts to the constant pressure and body punching of Kabayel.

And let's how he reacts getting hit consistently by a hard hitting southpaw like Itauma.

And Dubois has had alot of issues vs southpaws.

Again as I said I don't believe Dubois only quits when he can't land punches and that for me is a bit of bully mentality aswell.

Dubois for me already checked out in the 2nd fight vs Usyk very early on when he got hit with the 1st solid jab he tasted.

 

Well, we'll see. For now, he only quit against Usyk when he couldn't land his own punches. In the second fight he went to war but got outgunned.

 

Hahaha people are so desperate to feel better than dubois somehow. Embarrassing and sad.

Even before the fight many of us said he is not a quitter. People calling him a quitter against the broken eye socket are not worth the time to reply (weirdly some pros like frampton i think).

And against usyk in both fights the fight was finished. You can applaud wardley all you want but he could have had 3 rounds less of damage if he didn't have that stupid narrative of being a hard guy and having that last lucky punch. So neither his corner nor anyone else stopped it when there was no way he would win this. Useless damage. And danger, since this could have ended way worse.

So the supposedly stupid glass chin no heart dubois made the right call and is now by far the most accomplished 28 year old in heavyweight. He was the young one in this fight in case you missed it.

What a quitter! Suffers several knockdowns in multiple fights to come back and win, but what a quitter!

He only quits when there is no way to win. That's called smart and responsible. If all fighters did what those detractors demand, they would all walk around in a nursing home at 40.

And to then double down and try to uphold the narrative that is already hurting our athletes, when it should even be clear to the idiots after this fights, that he is not a 'quitter' by any human standards.

Shame!

 

No, he's a front runner. If he feels that he has a path to victory, he'll stay in the trenches all night. When he is demoralized, he mentally crashes.
