Anyone watching the presser? Key points - Warrington does not sound good Dev Sahani is an absolute tube Ishmael Davies has just made this one interesting, seems very up for it
Wembley are strict on timings due to transport restrictions so doubt this will overrun. There are also multiple TV deals in place. This isn't Saunders v Eubank at the frank warren arena
Surely this is a plant by his team to drive engagement ? I’m not having he’s THAT stupid? This content is protected
I haven’t watched the press conference yet but on Warrington. The difference in his speech and confidence over the year is striking - if you see his earlier interviews before lockdown he’s sharp and confident. I was watching his head to head last week and he doesn’t seem his old cocky, confident self. It’s like he’s lost his self belief - maybe that’s because he’s been beat 3 times now? Rather than any other reason. I don’t know him personally but I’ve got friends who are more acquaintances rather than being close friends with him and they all say he’s still buzzing and he’s got it in him. But from the body language I’ve seen from interviews he’s just lacking that confidence. Hopefully he gets it done tomorrow night then that would leave probably 2 (or maybe 3) big nights left in him. Suppose let’s not forget how easy he was making 6 rounds of the Wood fight look before being chinned. Obviously he did get chinned though and he lost which is the only thing that does matter really.
I wonder if the fact he doesn't have the mob of screaming fans following him around anymore has affected his confidence? An inner voice telling him that they don't believe in you anymore or something akin to that.
Hope so. I like Liam Gallagher as much as the next person but haven't much desire to watch him in the middle of a boxing card. Hopefully just a quick rendition of Wonderwall then he buggers off.
Warrington sounds terrible. Think Lara knocked a few brain cells out of him. Surely he's done if he gets knocked out at the weekend.
Doing 3 songs apparently. I'm going to see Oasis next year but I'd rather they just got on with boxing.
I’ve had a think about this fight and I think Joshua will end this quite early. I’ve never been convinced by Dubois since the Joyce fight and I think he’ll fold because Joshua’s power is on a different level to what he’s faced before.
Really looking forward to this card but it's triggering me massively how they keep saying the main event is for "the heavyweight championship of the world" when both fighters have literally lost to actual champion.
