It was meant to be heavy duty and he starts the fight with flyweights and featherweights going the distance and draining the mood. Great performance from Williams perked it back up again but then Joyce has just sapped any life left out of everyone. Hope this main event is a classic.
Joyce won quite clearly with volume but Jennings was his own worst enemy, wrong tactics. But it's easy to say that when an iron chinned monster keeps walking you down and leaning on you. If Joyce had more power and speed my god he would be a weapon but all of these heavyweights are flawed which makes the division so interesting.
I was in Manchester for Smith Williams 1. That was grim that. People struggle getting home now too, so people leave early. I’m sure I remember for Fury Chisora 2 the place was nearly empty by the time the fight ended.
How ironic haye saying the fighters have done a great job promoting the fight while in the background you see the arena half empty!
Been several times to the o2 followed by a night out on the west end. Every time I’ve been I’ve been back in central London by this time. If this was to go the distance it would ruin my night out.
I didn't think it was that bad. Joyce has only had a few fights. He's never went 12 rounds before. Jennings is a former world level guy in the "last chance saloon" catagory and was well conditioned which is a dangerous opponent for any up and comer. A huge learning experience and a solid win. Cards were way too wide obviously. He's jumping up the levels and that produces ugly wins. He wasn't wobbled and he's got 12 competetive rounds under his belt. A lot more valuable than blowing a donkey out in three rounds. Needs another few at that level before stepping up again. Not entertaining, but a productive fight.
It was terrible mate. Go and read the RBR and look at the posts on here. Listen to the crowd. It was bad.
I don't think he has much improvement left mate but I never thought Mr T Fury would beat Klit and even more surprised he drew with Wilder after a 2 year absence. A big step up for his 10th opponent but I cannot see how he can compete against Wilder or Fury.
Edward's slightly underwhelming Sharp was a brilliant scrap William's looks very good Joyce was a bizarre fight. Card has been ok I thought.
