I’ve never been impressed with Hrgovic. Thought he lost the Zhang fight, and reacted negatively every time he was hit. I’ll give it to him that he took big shots from him and didn’t go down. I think Dubois will actually last the distance and beat him.
It might not make sense but I think Dubois might mature into a better boxer than we think and I think he might stop Hrgovic in the second half.
It would be a shame if he couldn't beat Daniel. Hopefully he can get a big KO. If he loses then rematch Tom Little to get his confidence back.
Hrgovic by late TKO, Dubois will certainly be dangerous in the early rounds after which psychological stagnation could occur...
I know it was long time ago but remeber how big problem Daniel got with straight punches from Joyce. He took jab again and again and because of poor ability to avoid them he was serious injured. Hrgovic also used straight punches but for me he was always quicker and more dinamic than Joe Joyce. Daniel dont like to get hit. If situation became hard he just give up. You guys seriosly think that in fight with someone like Hrgovic there will be not hard time for him? Full 12 rounds? Lol Daniel survive hard moments in last fight- proops for him for that but for real. He got next to him rhino with 150 kg weigh... That's totally different story. Only chance for Dubois imo is some perfect shots. Wobbled Hrgovic and get TKO. But for sure this is not most realistic scenario.
Both have a lot to prove in this fight. Dubois doesn't have a single quality win on his resume and no Jarrell Miller is not any good he was always trash even when he was a walking pharmacy experiment and the version Dubois faced was overweight and out of shape even for Miller. Hrgovic hasn't impressed in a long time, he struggled with Zhang and since then has laboured in wins over mediocre opposition. Both have power, both are easy to hit and both are the more effective on the front foot, so this should be an entertaining fight on paper. I think the difference will be Hrgovic's chin, he can clearly take a shot while Dubois' chin is a liability. Hrgovic has to eat some big shots but he stops Dubois in the middle rounds.
