Daniel Dianabol Dubois in 5... I'm hoping for Joe Joyce. He's much more of a likeable guy and I normally go for the underdog.
Called Joyce all along but Dubois will come again. Will learn more from tonight than taking easy fights.
Definitely, not like Dubois was completely outclassed or anything. He's got the ability to go back to the drawing board and move on.
Had Joyce 10-12 @ 33's. Happy days indeed. Wouldn't mind seeing the rematch when dubois had another fight or two.
i'm smiling tonight. i dont bet often. more objectively, bit dissapointed with Dubios. Poor stoppage. Basically lost to getting jabbed. if he wants HW glory/ PPV need to do better but I'm sure he can.
Dubois was getting AJ levels of hype which was unjustified. He just doesn’t look that great a fighter to me.
I got 55 quid back from a tenner, so am happy. Just a bit disappointed it ended that way. Was a great fight though up to the end, I wish title fights were as evenly matched.
Anyone else think that Joyce is just incredibly hard night in the office. He's technically pretty average, very slow and looks pretty easy to box. But he just keeps coming and gives everyone nightmares. Its like he drags fights below his own level into places they don't want to go. He was barely breathing in the 10th round and he didn't have a mark on him.
It was a good competitive fight, I think we need to all remember that. Both put there 0's on the line when they didn't need too. Joyce was just better and more experienced tonight. Dubois will have learnt loads tonight. Only young and plenty of room for improvement, even if he hadn't lost. So I don't think this sets him back as much as people think, as long as he just takes the loss on the chin and moves on.
I know what you mean, in the end it's probably one of the toughest fights Dubois will ever have in his career. Joyce has got a decent jab though, I know you can say it can be slipped but he throws it so often and does feints so often, it must use up so much energy as an opponent if you've got to move your head constantly.
