Dubois Vs Joyce / Wallin

I actually see the Joyce fight happening late next year as, present courses permitting, their profiles should have increased enough to warrant a 15-20 k arena kind of fight and there will be enough cash on the line for it to make sense for both fighters.

I favour Dubois to be honest. Joyce doesn't seem to be progressing to any great degree and he's not getting any younger. Given how easy Stiverne and Jennings were catching Joyce, I think Dubois will have just as much success and the boy can definately bang.

I don't see any value in fighting Schwarz. Fury got rid of him in 2 and if he went longer than that with Dubois, which is very possible, it will just lead to unwarranted critiquing with people saying the usual BS of 'well, Fury got rid of him in 2 so Dubois must have pillows for fists' BS. Now, if Dubois was to fight Wallin and get rid of him well inside the distance, that would be a statement as the Fury fanbois are rather high on Wallin at the moment.

In my opinion, I actually think that Bakole would be the most entertaining and likely most dangerous opponent as he's a tank, is tough, can box a bit and also bang. Could see that one being a bit of a war and would again favour Dubois but, think he may have the odd scare in that fight.

 

You should have left your post at two lines. Your point with him being young at heavyweight is fine and to some extent I agree.

Lomachenko won a world title in his third pro fight. Fought for one in his second. He was 27. GGG won a world title before he was 30, but admittedly didn't get the big fights until he was after that age. He'd been a pro 4 years.

 

If DDD wants to gatecrash the HW division then if Chisora loses against Parker he should step up against WAR. What a fight that would be.

 

Lots of risk involved tho. Chisora probably in the form of his career at the moment.
They are probably hoping Tettech comes out swinging like Lartey did but then folds when he feels the power. Another short sharp dust up will build him up nicely as the next destroyer.
After that I think they will be very careful with him for another year or so which could back fire

 

I'm a big fan of Sam Jones' ridiculous bravado on Twitter - claiming they'd happily fight Dubois (with the get out of jail free card of it needing to be under the right circumstances).

It's so transparent - I'd rather promoters/managers were just honest and said "We want to position Joyce to be in big money fights for belts, we know Dubois is a huge risk and in the scheme of things isn't worth it".

 

Dubois would batter Wallin inside 3 rounds.

Dubois va Joyce would be a great fight but I cant see it happening yet.

 

Bakole is apparently going to fight Romanov on the Newcastle card.

 

Joyce is to fight Huck for EBU. For me Huck is on par with Jennings and decent fight (a better fighter than most of Wilder or Furys opponents). I expect Joyce win, stoppage in the late rounds.
