Is Browne really that bad? He appeared to take a dive against Allen from listening to the corner discussion.
Perhaps the BBBoC are going to be a bit more proactive? It will be interesting to see if they can maintain their vigilance after making 2 high profile decisions in a week.
McGuigan said yesterday that Dubois is hard to promote because of the budget involved. Coded language for not being that popular. Wonder if he'd be better off on Sky where they'd probably make an investment?
There is a lot going on behind the scenes with the board. That’s why a lot of the old refs like Ian John Lewis have been chucked out, and they are thankfully pushing for new blood. They are also being sued by the family of the fighter who got injured against George Groves. Think there was some issue with his medical’s which the board missed or something. The last thing they want is for a 43 year old Lucas Browne to get absolutely splattered in a gross miss match on their watch…who can blame them on this occasion.
No way was it dive. Browne face was a mess and he was in agony from that shot. Browne most notable wins are against completly shot Chagaev and and unproven Junior Fa.
Like I said, it appeared to me a dive. I've never been hit in the kidneys so not claiming to be an authoritative source. Just the dodgy "one more round" or similar comment he made with his trainer
Browne knocked Junior Fa out in 1 round Fa gave Parker a tough 12 rounds Browne is a bum but the BBBoC will sanction Fury-Chisora 3 and will sanction AJ-Arreola so why should Dubois not be allowed Browne?
I'd imagine because Browne has been on gear or because he's been savagely knocked out before, you plank.
Kevin Lerena is an okay fight for Dubois if he gets back out straight after. Decent keep busy fight and a southpaw test.
