I agree with you Rummy, Dubois has the youth and vitality that Wilder and Zhang lacked and I expect Dubois to apply a lot of pressure. I'm not sure Parker can sit down on his punches and Hurt Dubois which should encourage him when he attacks and I still see Parker on the mat against Joyce and Zhang. I too like Dubois late around the 9th give or take ..
I think the early rounds will be the hinge moment in the fight. If Parker can weather the storm and take Dubois into the depths with him I think alot of questions will be asked of Dubois. It's a big ask of Parker but he is capable providing his punch resistance and discipline is there. If Parker can't juice his shots enough and earn the respect of Dubois I think he could be in for a monstering in the first half of the fight. If it descends into a war, I fancy Parker's heart carrying the day. By round 5 we will know where things are heading. Until then it is a straight 50/50 fight.
I was worried for a second that Rummy was backing Parker But then I saw he backed Dubois And I breathed a sigh of relief.....
This is literally a 50-50 fight, and they couldn't have met at a better time in their careers, both of them have big wins behind them, their confidence is at a high level and therefore the fight will be even better, Parker could take this but it will be a real war...
If you can hit Dubious enough he will quit. Problem is you have to evade or soak up the roid bombs enough to do that. Parker used to be hard to hit if he wanted to be (AJ fight) but he's fatter and slower now. And he seems to be falling over in fights in recent years which is not a good sign for soaking up bombs. The younger Parker probably had a good shot but it's hard to pick this one even though it wouldn't be the biggest surprise because he's an experienced all-rounder and Dubious' vulnerabilities have already been shown.
Shortly after the first undisputed fight, I had a dream where Dubois stopped Usyk in the 10th in the rematch after a knockdown in the early rounds
I betted on Parker by KO, too good of the odds not to take the risk. Rummy's prediction made me a bit more confident, haha.
