I stated on paper it would be an easy fight, reality is something different and I explained my thoughts on that as well.
On paper it isn't an easy fight at all though. Fighting an unbeaten HW who's just broke someone's skull is never going to be an easy fight on paper.
It's a 50:50 till round 4. If the fight lasts longet than 4 rounds, DDD gonna take it. Better defense and just better overall
Dubois hasn’t got the best head movement but under Don Charles, he’s becoming a master of staying out of range and has an uncanny knack of sapping the sting out of a power shot after the punch has landed. It’s almost extrasensory where the legs, body and neck stiffen prior to getting clocked, anticipation instincts at their finest. We’re talking about an extremely unique set of balls where the owner is waiting for a big bopper to land a punch that would normally kill the average man, without quality head movement, and time it in a way which saps the power out of it. That’s without talking about his offence. How do you propose Wardley beats Dubois?
Good, I'm glad. Loving a bit of Wardley and I think this one would be a bit too early for him. I think there's a couple of fights he could do with first.
In the spirit of Joshua/Fury/Wilder era messing around with half year drama saga negotiations with added avoidance and inactivity ... this fight doesn't make sense. In the spirit of the sport gaining some momentum with casual fans who may well gravitate beyond that ... why not? Wardley falls short he gets some credit for taking on tough opposition just like Dubois has. Dubois ads to his resume in a meaningful way, and if he lost, he's known as someone who can come back from that and still compete with the very best again when he's right in form.
