https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/52534003 The Joyce fight is no certainty, Joyce is slow and plodding but hits hard and is capable of knocking out anyone. However the majority would back Dubois in this. Who would win if this fight was made? I don’t think Wilder would want any of it. It’s too much of a risk. If he lost to a young fighter like this it’s almost career ending. Dubois stoppage for me.
I'm not aboard the Dubois hypetrain like a lot of people are here, but I think he would be too much for Wilder at this late stage of his career. I fully expect Wilder to go on a run of several KO losses now and his promotional outfit to abandon him
Dubois is young and still a prospect but I am somehow convinced that Dubois can knock out Wilder, Dubois is a puncher and has an attacking style that does not suit Wilder, Dubois would put pressure and knock out Wilder with a series of punches...
Dubois imo I think Fury has totally exposed Wilder Wilder was a guy with a massive right hand who was very slowly and carefully built up by PBC against hand picked opponents for him to look devestating against. Fury did a JC/Lacy job on him, I just don't think Wilder will ever be the same, he's also 35 now, honestly I think Fury just finished him and Dubois would run across no man's land and get him
Depends on how Wilders first knock out loss affected him. With all of his bravado and BS it would be me guess the loss has left deep scars that will never heal. I would give Dubois the 60/40 edge here. I think Dubois may get caught by something big and we don’t know how he reacts. He needs to land something big early and then put Wilder on the back foot until he gets the stoppage.
Sweet jumping Jesus! I am the biggest Wilder hater on here, and I am wondering why people think he would be knocked out by a guy who could not stop Kingpin Johnson.... I think we are going a little crazy for a big, lumbering, thus far not terribly impressive prospect.
Dubois by brutal KO early. Dubois will put Wilder on the back foot rendering him useless. Wilder would never fight and has avoided big punchers his whole career.
I like Dubois, think he probably has a high ceiling. WIlder ices him at this stage though. Constantly amazed at how everyone is picked to beat Wilder all of the time. I did the same with Stiverne first time around and with Ortiz. He's limited in many aspects but the only guy he hasn't smoked is the most elusive in the division, and he damn well nearly did in the first fight.
Agreed he has a tremendous job and I think he would make light work of Wilder. I am a big fan of his as long as he doesn't open his gob. You'd think he's autistic.
The idea that 'everyone is picked to beat Wilder all of the time' is just absolute drivel. The reason many think Wilder was so overrated was because despite the great record on paper he routinely fights against relative nobodies. To repeat an oft-made point, he's beaten two world champions, both of whom are among the worst of all time. Other than that, nobody. Ortiz is a decent enough win but he was in desperate trouble. After that? I don't know. Breazeale maybe his best win?
I don't know how anyone could confidently pick Dubois here the reality is he's done nothing yet.lets wait and see if he can beat Joyce first.Wilder has the most padded record of a former heavyweight champ in history...it is truly shocking.
