Boxers are always getting accused by fans of ducking particular opponents and it's usually bull****, but what specific occaisons are there when one fighter has clearly shyed away from fighting another (e.g. Bowe with Lewis)?

Nearly every fighter does it mate. A better question would be - which fighters don't duck anybody?

He has mastered the subtle arts of avoiding accusations of ducking by simply pricing himself out of dozens of fights. That way, when he doesn't want to face someone, he can just price himself out and no-one notices anything different.

And the answer would be 'those that aren't good enough to have any options'.

I wasn't meaning Hatton-Witter style when Hatton could get more money fighting bigger names even if it would have been nice to see him shut Witter up, I was more meaning clear shitting it, like Bowe when there was just no excuse not to fight Lewis.

Winky was ducked like crazy, he could never get a fight, so that probably different from a guy who could get all the top fights but ducks out of them.

I would have said Jermaine Taylor. That run he went through with Hopkins, Wright and Pavlik was insane. One p4p fighter after another.

Also Izzy and Rafa taking 3 most brutal fights in a row. They'd have to be in that elite group who fight the best whenever they can.

Saying that Pavlik is ducking Abraham makes about as much sense as pissing in your boots to keep your feet warm. Abraham just let the #43 middleweight finish on his feet, and win 4 rounds in the process. Ya -- I'm sure that the guy who fought Zuniga, McKart, Zertuche, Miranda, Taylor X 2, and BHop all in the span of 3 1/2 years is scared shitless:patsch

promoters are often the guilty party with regards to ducking as they want to protect there investment therfore they will regularly match there fighter with the worst opponent for the best money!!

Chad Dawson ducked Adrian Diaconu. Worst case of ducking I can think of, by far.
