I would have taken it easy on you. ;)

Seriously, since Kelly is a home town boy, I'm used to seeing a fighter win fight after fight that he wasn't suppossed to win. He just kept stepping it up. (And still gets little respect from way too many here) It keeps me pretty moderate in my views. Analyze the possibilities and let the fighters settle it in the ring. But the MW division will be wide open if Kelly moves up. Arum pretty much said after a fight January, that is the plan.

Eastman didn't exactly have to look very hard to find Duddy's face. Ditto Smichet. Those defensive liabilities are still there, and that will not fly against the stronger and unrelenting Pavlik.

just as duddy didnt have to look very hard to find eastman's who is a much better defensive operator than pavlik is.

The difference is, plucky as he is, Duddy just doesn't have the strength to compete on that level. Pavlik will rough him up, it's not even a fair fight honestly.

i agree with you,at this vey moment it isn't,but how is lockett anymore worthy of a shot than duddy, imo he is less.
pavlik after 24 fights was at the same stage at duddy and duddy already has a very decent resume for a prospect/contender and if he steps it up in the next 2-3 fights and succeeds i see no reason why he can't compete with pavlik.pavlik outside his strength his long reach and powerful 1-2 isn't a great boxer and anyone with a strong boxing brain could find a way inside him and really challenge him, however there hasn't been anyone able to do that as of yet, although i had JT winning the second fight, but that isn't for here.

if duddy can come home in the next few fights and take the euro title off sylvester,i will doubt his ability to take on the very very best around 154-160.

dam pretty good break dow but KP is more tech sound then what your saying he's got very good fundamentals and power in both hands plus his work rate and a solid chin.

duddy lose this fight and i actually think this fight will happen after the Kp next 2 fight they' squeez him in before AA.

i'd like to see it happen but very much doubt it will,if calzaghe beats hopkins,he wants pavlik and there will be nothing stopping that superfight.duddy will get his shot, but against who is a different thing.

i agree, pavlik is fundamentally an excellent fighter and i think that's why he gets alot of stick on here, because he is so fundamentally based,he is nothing flashy, just a plain old bulldozer smashing through everything he has met,imo just because he doesn't have the unorthodox skills of calzaghe, pac or pbf he shouldn't be any less heralded.look at the praise cal got after the lacy fight,JT is definatly above lacy's level no doubt and although it wasn't a clinic he did all that could have been asked,he broke him into submission.
miranda was supposedly an unstoppable beast, what happened to him?i believe pavlik will achieve more than many of the 'experts' on here believe, thats only after he gets ko'd by duddy :yep :hey :good

greengloves, assuming you're right and Duddy needs to pursue other paths to a title with Pavlik being unattainable due to politics, how do you think a Duddy-Abraham fight would play out? Or Duddy-Sturm?

I think the most likely scenario is that Pavlik will beat Abraham next January, and then leave the division. That means he will vacate the WBC, WBO, and IBF titles. After that Duddy will get a shot at a vacant title, and quite possibly win it. Pavlik/Duddywill not happen, and that is a good thing because a guy who struggled with Campus and Eastman does not belong in the ring with Pavlik.
