after duddy dominated eastman for long periods of the fight and got past this gatekeeper with good skills and a great chin, is he ready for a title fight yet? but what would be the point in fighting sturm or abraham when they really bring little selling power the only fight that makes sense is against pavlik or taylor(pavlik most likely).this would easily sell out any arena in america or ireland and would have huge ppv numbers. btw duddys chin continues to show he could stand alot of punishment and i reckon he could take pavlik to a decision.
Duddy goes life and death with Campas, and life and death with a shot Eastman and you think he's good for a title ? Anything resembling B+ Competition and Duddy loses bad. For his own sake I hope he's not matched wth Pavlik.
Duddy fought well tonight,showed a good chin and much improved defense.He is good enough to challenge for a title but Pavlik is a monster - duddy would probably last 6 or 7 rnds
atsch life and death with eastman,are you jokin me!he wasnt fazed once he was caught a few times and walked straight through them,when he came forward eastman couldnt handle him.i say duddy should fight maybe a lorenzo on st. paddys then look for pavlik in the summer. it does look like andy lee's gona get lorenzo though on the pavlik taylor undercard. duddy showed that when he wants to he has the technical skills and strength to get past good competition,about time people started giving him a bit of credit.at the end of the day eastman's been in there with the best and controversially lost to joppy.
I wouldnt say he went life and death with Eastman but..... Eh, I love John Duddy, lets face it though,,,, when and if he EVER faces a B+ level fighter... its lights out. :yep
can we wait until that point,because hes come past every test so far,id love people to give him a chance because hes such a good guy and a very good fighter,i cant see him gettin knocked out anytime soon and hes gona make a hell of alot of money before he gets beat!
