Duddy,Lee ,Schmit and maybe Vera

If Lee boxes Smichet then he should beat him handily.

However, I think John Duddy is in for a long night. We've seen Vera has a decent chin, and Duddy seems to like to brawl. He will have another very tough fight unless he decides to try and box Vera, like Lee should have.

 

Lee will handle him with ease like TFFP says. I think a few of you are over-rating Smichet on the basis that he only lost a majority to Duddy. The fact is if Duddy could be bothered to box in the 1st half of the fight like he did in the 2nd, he would of won comfortably.

 

I've tried to tell folks over and over, that fight showed us a lot about Duddy. He gathered his wits and did what he had to do instead of making bad worse. I have always seen that as one of the best positive moments in a fight. I'm sure he had to fight his pride and go for the decision instead of going for revenge and probably losing.

 

Damn straight.

I don't think Duddy is anything special, but he sure as hell ain't as bad as some people make out.

He gives us excitement by defending with his face and slugging it out, because he can. People need to understand though that when he wants to box, he really can box.

 

The problem with Duddy/Vera is that Duddy wants to go to 154, and Vera has fought at 168 before so there is an imbalance. That said they were within one pound of each other in their respective last fights, so if it can be made it should be made. It would be very interesting but I'd say Vera would have Duddy very bloody after 6 or 7 rounds. Also I think Lee would TKO Smichet.
