Nothing against him personally but I'm glad he got exposed by a less then great opponent, I felt that Eastman got screwed over the pond. Thoughts on what happens with him now, can he recover and become great or was he never that good?
I would'nt call it EXPOSED. He already got beat (but got a gift decision) by the guy Manfredo just KO'ed. Anybody with a boxing brain already knew he never was... and never will be anything more than an Irish, hype-job.
Now what's Arum going to do with his NYC cash cow? Marketing mediocrity with a pretty face just got tougher.
Rounds one, seven and ten are posted on youtube. I thought Duddy took a beating in rounds seven and ten; he was a sitting duck for Lyell's overhand rights and left hooks to the head. Fortuntely for Duddy, Lyell is a very light puncher. Duddy looked sluggish; his body movement and his hand speed seemed a little slower than usual. I also thought that Duddy looked tired and weak in the final rounds, as he appeared to be rocked -- even wobbled -- by Lyell's punches. If Duddy had been in there with a puncher, he would have been knocked out. No doubt about it. Duddy must have had an off day...there's no doubt in my mind about that. Based on what I've seen of Duddy in the past, he should have had enough pep and firepower to outfight someone like Lyell.
