Sturm like you say is pipe dream, why he didnt take the fight with Arthur himself is a ****ing mystery, and a travesty too, especially since they both fight out of Germany.

Williams/Wright. I actually have a deep seated hatred for Wright, so that might explain something! Williams, he definitely has the tools to be a marketable fight at MW, I just think he could concentrate at 154 for now, dominate there, then step up in 2 years for MW.

Wright, dont know what he has left, he aint getting any younger.

As for Kelly and his power, not in the same league as Arthurs, but he has a higher workrate which will trouble AA. I do think Kellys power is overrated though, just my opinion.

They are all decent fights at MW, I just think its time the two biggest stars at MW (kelly and Arthur) should be getting it on, no need for kelly to fight Duddy, hes a punchingbag, albeit a brave one. :good

I just want to see titliests fight each other for **** sakes, its ridiculous it doesnt happen, Boxing and their politics/money men, detrimental to the sport.

what team abraham should do is offer duddy more money to fight abraham.

that would put the spanner in the works.

Could you blame Sturm not wanting to travel after his bigtime robbery with ODH?

    100% agreed.

I'm a fan of Wright, I really admire the fact that he went abroad to fight the best when he couldn't get any fights in the US, and I think he would be a good test for anyone at 160 (assuming he has anything left, which is why the Williams fight will be a good one to watch). I agree about Williams tidying up 154, but if you can't get the fights at 154 or 147, why not go at 160 if he thinks he can?

Agree 100% that he doesn't have the single shot power AA does, but he has very heavy hands and that, combined with his workrate, make him a KO machine.

I hear you about the titlists fighting, let's just do this damn thing already and settle it. There is a perfect setup for a great MW tourney right here and promoters/alphabet mafia making things way more difficult than they should be.

Abraham is obviously the #1 contender for the crown...at this point, I'd even make the case that he IS the champ.

However, Pavlik did the smart thing here...he needs a tuneup of sorts and Duddy is a good one...big punch, but not AS dangerous as Abraham.

I'm afraid Abraham might take Pavlik's head off.

:good I hear you about Williams and his situation, shame for him really.
I appreciate what Wright had to do to get his rep, but I just dont like the bloke that much :D

More needs to be done accross the whole of boxing to unify titles, its ridiculous that it doesnt happen.

I think its possible that Arthur KO's Kelly mid fight after being behind on all the cards

After watching BHop tee off on KP for 12, I'm pretty sure a single shot from Arthur won't get him. I'm quite positive a 170 lb Hopkins hits harder than Abraham.

Arum is probably right in saying that Pavlik vs Duddy will be financially more lucrative than Pavlik vs AA at this point of time.Sad! Money is the name of this game, but not to stage the best fights out there.
Pavlik will wipe the floor witht that mediocre and hittable Irish fighter. He will also make some good bucks by doing so.
Nevertheless, that is surely not the fight us box aficionados want to watch.
Damn! It is Arum's job to turn Pavlik vs AA into a super fight with huge pay checks for both fights.Do your jobs, guys!

Me and you going to have to disagree again!

One punch power, I think AA hits harder, he doesnt throw them often, but he plants his feet and gets some bad intentions behind them. Hops power now is not in the elite league

The argument could go either way, but I think Hopkins has proven his power against the better-established competition and is bigger. And it's hard to judge his power against his recent comp, as Calzaghe, Wright, Tarver all have pretty solid-great chins. I'm not sold on AA having the super power that some claim due to the level of his competition, but again, that's just my view and I think there is merit to either side.

Good analysis. Although I would say, with Hops age I doubt his Punch power has been getting better, although stepping up in weight wont have hurt as he was draining a bit to stay at 160.

Appreciate what you say about AA comp though :good

Hopefully we will find out sooner rather than later with regards to these two! :hey

:D:yep..I have always liked the way you think. lol. I don't know what to think, exactly. Sure we all want THE biggest fight to be made in MW,...but then what? You know?

Maybe they can build it to a Super Fight, and not just one where only Pavlik fans will buy tickets. IMO, the point they're trying to make is, don't eat your dessert before your supper.:yep
