... if he wins his next fight. How do you see him faring in this title bout providing he comes through against the upcoming, young English prospect? Alternatively could a Taylor rematch be on the cards for Pavlik? Thoughts?

Duddy is going to lose. He has nothing for Pavlik. Pavlik will then rematch and beat Taylor again. Taylor has no interest in improving as a fighter.

Then Pavlik will lose to Calzaghe in a war but clear fight.

Yeah, that's accurate enough. Duddy is a good enough fighter, but I honestly can't see him getting by Pavlik.

Calzaghe would probably take a UD against Pavlik, though I'd be a war as you say.

Come on people. Duddy is a ****ing dud. Pavlik's strength, discipline, and overall skill is in a different world and we know it. So why are we wasting time on him? As much as I like Pavlik I would'nt pay to see him make some mick **** himself in the ring. Do any of you think Duddy could beat Miranda, Taylor, Zuniga, Zertuche, or even McKart?? Well of course not. Duddy's record is as padded as Moras. Now switching gears abit, I'm a Joe Calzaghe fan and this talk of him fighting Pavlik is very laughable as well as um premature. The reality is Joe will be crushed in Wales on Nov 3rd for many of the same reasons Taylor was put to sleep on September 29. If Joe wins not only will i be surprised but I will call him the greatest Supermiddleweight ever! It will be a great fight. This in part makes my point, just as Pavlik has fought better competition gradually so has Kessler. This is most of what prepares a fighter for THE big fight and this preparation and conditioning should'nt stop after winning a championship. Kessler is more than ready just as Pavlik was more than ready. Is Joe ready?? Don't think so, if we want to be real about it we can say Calzaghe hasnt really been in the ring in over a year. Abraham is the best competition besides Taylor(who is now a supermiddle) at 160. Abraham is Germany's Kelly Pavlik(I know I don't get it either) Abraham-Pavlik would pack a soccer stadium easy and would be alot more fun to watch than Duddy pissing himself in the 3rd rd

So please people lets not talk about Joe until after he gets beat down by Kessler. You sound like a bunch of schoolgirls talking about Halo 3 for christsakes. We're boxing fans not slap-boxing fans, well at least some of us are.

Didn't Team Duddy say yesterday they have no interest in fighting Pav? Sorry don't have source but I know I read it somewhere. (another thread on ESB).

If Duddy and Mora are so much no-hope ( but still undefeated) contenders, how come they are rated number 4 and number 3 by the WBC Commission right behind Lorenzo and Taylor? Not acting like the Devil's advocate, just mentioning if you didn't know about it...

Just so you know the WBC also rates MICHAEL MOORER as a top contender for heavyweight.

What is the big problem? Double M stopped Rich Boruff in one, outpointed Sedreck Fields in 10, kayoed Cliff Couser in 1 and beat Vassily Jirov by TKO9 in his last 4 fights, he's 50-4-1, 39 KOs... Oliver McCall is 51-8, 36KOs and is rated number 2...

    ((((((((((((KP by KO))))))))))))

But now the latest scoop is that this fight isn't a done deal, so some different names may begin to surface.

Pavlik vs Duddy is not a done deal but from my understanding, TV is jumping all over this fight because of the popularity of both fighters right now. Taylor has till the end of the month to decide about a rematch but I don't see it happening right now, maybe down the road a little. The talk of Pavliks next opponent has been mainly between Mora and Duddy and since Mora only managed a draw last night, he has lost a lot of credibilty for a title fight. As far as uniting the titles, Pavlik would love to fight Abraham or Sturm who are both good fighters but have no intention of losing their belts, let alone getting into the ring with Pavlik who is just a monster right now.

Id laugh my arse of if he lost, come on give duddy a bit of credit, hes not a bum by a long stretch, just way over hyped, just think if pavlik had taking one or two more punches he would have suffered a 2nd round stopage, and you all know he would be talked down on here as a over hyped useless fighter by most, anything could happen, surley you have seen that many times before???
