Andy on boxrec forum the poster namedJ abby who is involved in the Duddy matchmaking confirmed he will be fighting on this date and Vanda is the frontrunner.

Is this to set up the much anticipated Duddy-Klitschko fight?

Ardybo - i can't agree with you on this one - Pavlik has a decent chin, not great but good. His power is devastating and while Duddy has a good chin i would be surprised if he lasted longer than 7 or 8 rnds with Pavlik. At least he will get well paid for it and you never know - he might get lucky

I'll say what I've been saying since before Pavlik became a hot **** media darling...he's an extremely beatable fighter who can probably manage to stop a lot of undeservedly top-ranked guys (which he has done in the past year...:yep) but shouldn't by any means be considered a juggernaut or heavy favorite against anyone B+ or higher.

Talk about exaggerating. No **** that, this dude is flat out lying. Taylor is the only one to seriously hurt Pavlik. McKart scored a knockdown against Pavlik, but it was via a punch to the shoulder while Pavlik was off balance. Miranda can bang, and never seriously wobbled Pavlik once. I guess you didn't see the Zuniga fight, or else you probably would have claimed Zuniga had Pavlik ready to go when he scored the flash knockdown.

At least Duddy should fight a guy like Ornelas or Asikainen but not a regional club fighter like Vanda...

I only see what my eyes see friend. How many times did Hagler go down? Got my point I like Pavlik, he,s exciting to watch but he wont be champion for long, once Duddy or Lee meets him.

I wonder if HBO will force Duddy to fight a better opponent than Matt Vanda who while a good club fighter is not really HBO worthy. On the other hand a guy like Giovanni Lorenzo might be to risky for HBO to risk a Pavlik vs Duddy ratings grabber in June:think

Vanda has a good record statistically - HBO want Duddy to look good so they can market Pavlik/Duddy as some big slugfest - so i think Vanda will stay

It's funny a few weeks ago Duddy people were saying that Duddy might want 3 or 4 more fights before going for a title shot now it back to going for a June date with the Ghost:yikes

Vincent, if the fight is set for June, then you might as well throw your weight behind who you want to win. Well buddy, I hope the cat hasn't caught your tounge.

Vanda was dominated by Bonsante
    Big step down for Duddy.

I am a fan of both fighters and think there fight will be a great slugfest but I think Pavlik is just too big and strong for Duddy and stops him in 6 or 7 rounds.:bbb If put them head to head Pavilk is the bigger puncher and the better boxer. Duddy is a little faster and might have a better chin. Duddy cuts badly Pavlik busts up a little. In terms of size Pavlik nearly 6'3 has it all over the 5'11 Duddy:deal
