Word in the aussie forum is that Anthony Mundine has a shortlist of 3 fighters, in which he will use to make his US debut later this year. Duddy has named a good opponent, which could be the Australian. So who wins this?
Mundine would outbox the limited Duddy. I have a feeling it would be pretty entertaining, but Duddy would need to slug. I was really amused why he boxed Matt Vanda and him doing that with Mundine would be a mistake. A very rare decent match at 160, shame it didn't occur before Duddy lost.
whilst i don't get the hype about duddy, i don't rate mundine either. and i see a duddy points victory. especially as the americans quite like him.
Mundine is somewhat underrated by a lot of posters here on ESB, on the flipside, Duddy is VERY overrated, I like Mundine unfortunatley he has been mismanaged in my opinion, Mundine beats Duddy by wide UD or late KO.
Mundine would beat him any way he had to. Duddy really can't do much about it. I've noticed he's moving more towards a 'boxing' style, but the thing is he's only passable at best, he lost to Lyell, Mundine is still the better boxer, and the faster. If he slugs, well...Mundine has fought a much bigger guy like Kessler and held his own, he'd easily do the same with Duddy and take advantage of his mistakes. Though Mundine has looked very poor since his eye injury.
