Duddy would get beaten badly at world level.Good chin but to easy to hit.

he declined his humiliation?shut the **** up,bit of respect for a boxer who knows his limits and will make a hell of a lot more money than you doing something he loves, hell he's probably 10times more famous than abraham already!
hopefully vanda, then someone like asikanen, then sylvester then a sturm and then pavlik, that would be the path i'd like to see duddy follow, but check what steward has to say about andy lee!

You are being to hard on your emotions about Irish boxers. I agree, that Lee has potential and might win a belt or even win the undisputed championship down the line but Duddy is pure Irish hype - that's why he is making money. He's a clubfighter and might be lucky if he even wins a European championship...

Maybe they will have Pavlik fight Abraham in June :good In the meantime Duddy can fight Vanda, Sylvester,Mora and Lockett then take on Pavlik in 2009 at the Garden.:happy

i honestly think duddy would lose to mora by a UD,cant see him winning that one, imho i think he stands a better chance against keely, may sound ridiculous but its just what i think!

Duddy is a good not great fighter but he is an exciting fighter and he lays it all on the line. He wll not measurably improve any more. He is what he is and should take the biggest step he can now.

He is the kind of fighter that can be very vulnerable to defeat at any given time. He takes a lot of shots and he gets busted up.

I dont see him being able to handle Pavlik but he wont be able to handle him a year or two from now either. If I were his people, I'd take my chances now. Like I said, I dont think he is going to improve from here on out.

What Duddy needs is some spectacular KO's to improve his marketability. If Pavlik get by Taylor, he will have lots of options so his choice will be the biggest money fight. Duddy has the charisma that Calzaghe lacks, but he is still not all that well known.

he'll still sell out any arena in NY or ireland and will sell a shitload in ppv, alongside pavlik this will only swell, but i think he should look towards the euro title first, then immediately get a shot at pavlik!
    duddy by ko round 1!

Whenever he fights Pavlik, Duddy is gonna get destroyed. But he'll make a good payday doing it, so who am I to argue??

This is the best comment i have read regarding Duddy,i agree completely. His defense did improve significantly against Eastman so now its below average instead of ****-poor but this just means he will last 7 or 8 rnds instead of 5 or 6 against Pavlik.I think he has to fight Pavlik immediately if the offer is made.He has a slight chance of winning and even if he goes down with all guns blazing it could better his marketability and earn him more big paydays:good

yes, sylvester vs duddy should be interesting and duddy can win it!!!

sylvester looked bad vs an unkown italian last time out. duddy can stop him imo.

but maybe he will wait for pavlik to drop the wbo belt (cause face it, he pavlik wont fight gary lockett!!! no network in the us would buy it).

that would mean either duddy vs lockett or duddy vs zsbik( an unbeaten german fighter with solid techical skills but absolutely NO POWER).

duddy would be favoured in both fights!!! His future looks good..........especially if he stays clear of pavlik, who would kill him imo.

I grow tired of how much press limited guys like Duddy recieve, he's never going to amount to anything in terms of championship level activity.

Duddy, is about a step down from Gatti all in all.

Seeing as how Campas was stunning him, I'll take Pavlik in 2-3 rounds.

I'd more or less call you a visionary in that respect.:yep

I agree, very possible, but I do think that Pavlik's power is in accumulation as much as people think it's straight up 1 punch KO power. Hmm, but then we go back to Duddy being rocked by Campas, I think you're KO 1 prediction may be spot on.
