You've beat me to putting this on here, nat, I was watching it just the other week. Ferrer was a big puncher and a top contender for a time iirc; I think he looks good here despite not getting the best of it. I think he'd been in line for a crack at Loi earlier than this but was upset in a thriller after dominating early by the ever dangerous and more experienced Percy Bassett (I think highlights of that one are on youtube) right after he - Ferrer - himself had upset DeMarco. I think DeMarco's camp had him down as a standard comeback opponent after Paddy had lost his title to Carter and was still the top contender, but he knocked DeMarco out and catapulted himself into the mix. Loi looks very impressive here; he would've been in his mid twenties I think and square in his prime. Very nimble footwork and an educated, crafty defence for such an aggressive fighter that made up for him not being the hardest puncher, though I think he hit harder than his record suggests. I think his European CV might have quite a few hidden gems on it that would boost his standing if more footage and info on guys like Visintin were readily available. It's a shame that the IBC had such a grip on things at that time; they seem to have basically shut Loi out of the mix.
