At welterweight. 10 rounds. For the posters familiar with both. An experienced Loi against the young, huge welter Fernandez.

Loi may have been clever and experienced enough to survive against Fernandez had they met, but thats about as good as he would have done really as I don`t see him beating "The Ox". Fernandez was indeed a huge welter and a exceptional puncher as well, and while Loi`s reputation as a durable fighter is well documented I am not so sure he could have stood up to Floro`s firepower for a full ten rounds even if he was only looking to last the distance. Fernandez was always on the attack and always looking to land that wreckingball left hook of his to end matters, and while I won`t go as far as to say that he would have flattened Loi I do believe he would have outworked him and possibly even dropped him on his way to a decision win.
