He was supposed to have co-featured against Yoann Boyeaux on the Real Deal Boxing card last April (with Kuzmin vs. Karpency), but the match was scrapped last-minute when Boyeaux withdrew. He fought on the subsequent Real Deal card in June of 2018 - edging out Thomas Snow via SD to defend his WBC International bantamweight title - but has yet to make a ring appearance since. This coming Saturday he will ply his trade in chief support of Erislandy Lara Santoya vs. Ramón Álvarez Barragán on "PBC Fight Night on FOX". The formerly world-rated Ghanaian (as of last October he was rated #14 by the WBC) will celebrate his 29th birthday in a few weeks, and despite being 22-0 with eighteen knockouts and having signed with Evander Holyfield three years ago has yet to really make a splash with US audiences or pundits. His opponent is Luis Roy Suárez Cruz, whose only defeat to date was against Texan prospect (now the interim WBA super bantamweight titlist) Brandon Lee "The Heartbreaker" Figueroa - by way of ninety second TKO1 blitz. This won't really help advance Micah, but at least it will put eyes on him (due mostly to Lara's remaining name value, and just by virtue of commanding a large national audience on Fox) and if he impresses there may be opportunities to figure into some bigger fights - who knows, perhaps agaisnt the likes of Figueroa himself.
