Duke McKenzie really pis*ed me off last night with his disrespect for Paulie, claiming that he didn't win a round and coming out with sh*t like ''He can stick his tongue out all he wants''. Someone should educate Duke that you need to land punches to ''dominate'' rounds. Then this fool John Rosenthal (think thats his name) in the studio says ''If he could punch as fast as he can talk he's be ok''. Man these guys need to STFU!
I just wished they'd shut up in between rounds so we could listen to the corners* *In the 2 rounds that they actually went to the corners and not to adverts that is
i agree his nuthuggery is beyond a joke ! his coverage of froch v kessler was that of an obsessed fan :-(
Don't like John Rawling much either. He's not only biased but his commentary is rather underwhelming, I find. They have his voice dubbed over some Classic tapes I have and he's just cringeworthy to listen to at times.
Don't really like either Duke or Rawlings, but I have no complaints about how they called that particular fight.
Someone mentioned that on HBO the dude who scores their fights, Lederman? Had it as a shutout to Khan?
So did the judges. Duke's commentary was pretty awful but it's what I've come to expect from him. Froch vs Kessler was painful to listen to.
Yeah he gave one of the early rounds to Malignaggi. The only thing that bothered me about the commentary was when Rawling was saying that some of the early rounds between Ortiz and Nate were close - no they weren't!
Duke McKenzie pissed me off when he said that Nate Campbell shouldn't step foot in the ring again . I know he got out-classed but he's not shot or a risk to himself.
