"Floyd has trouble with southpaws" Well guess what everybody has problems with south paws even south paws, but guess what he's undefeated against them. "Manny doesn't like body shots" Who the **** likes body shots? I got hit with a body shot so bad it left a scare and left side of my body was hurt for two weeks, its just is what it is.
It's not that Manny doesn't like body shots, more like the only time he's been hurt in his recent run of fights have been when some bodyshots landed. He recovered pretty quickly though against Marquez and Margarito, so really it shouldn't be an issue. People are just looking too hard for weaknesses because he hasn't shown many recently. They also say he still can't deal with counter punchers and boxers with good movement, using the Marquez rematch and Mosley. Yet he won those fights, and was impaired with injuries in both (bad cut at critical point against Marquez, problems with his legs vs Mosley). Same thing applies to Floyd, he ended up dominated all the lefties he's fought, just as he will Ortiz. Like I said, fans looking for weaknesses that aren't there
They are both exaggerations with some truth to them. Mayweather is more vulnerable to Southpaws' offense early in a fight than usual, but he adjusts. Pacquiao is sometimes open and has been tagged effectively and cleanly to the body by certain fighters, but they've never shown to have a supremely damaging effect in the ring.
Mayweather - "Oh, he just did that to sell a fight" Pacquiao - "If he has nothing to hide then take the test"
Yup......its not an easy one to pick. But I do feel most are homing to pick Floyd based on styles. Floyd is a boxer....his style is a problem for everyone...including pac. But we all know pac's got some tools that will cause Floyd some issues as well.
i wouldnt cry at all if the site moderators put a ban on "Pac vs PBF" threads lol.... too worn out from scrapping all about the trivialities of the matter...
I like it when people say Paul Williams struggles with southpaws. 7 out of his last 9 fights have been against southpaws....maybe he's just not THAT good...
