Losing is ok, its all about the status of the fighter and how hes perceived at the time. Yes Marg can be picked apart by haters but hes the best choice out there as far as legacy, money and worldwise interest goes, cause the other best out there is on vacation.

Pac fought the winner of Cotto/Mosley
and Floyd fought the loser

 

casual fans have short term memories. margarito is going to be victimized and the mosley loss will be forgotten.

I wanted JMM 3 or berto. I think this would do more than just 400,000 buys. Margarito is a big name so as pac so i expect a higher sell than 400K.

If Floyd signs to fight Cotto, then this will all start to fall into place as to what was probably being planned all along. Arum is well taken care of in all this, and Floyd enters the equation at long last, and it leads up to a Pac/Floyd fight next year.

 

I agree that it does more than 400K. I'm thinking around what Pac/Clottey did, 700K or so.

 

And LukeO chill. i noticed u and many others have a thing against Arum right now. theres no reason to. hes done well this time. last time out floyd won the press negotiations by a landslide and even had people questioning if manny was clean. his management was tremendous and pac and arum were slacking. arums done everything right this time, as far as protecting his fighter goes and pac is now in favour and mayweather a coward in public perception.

Also if pac fights a bradley or berto, the numbers will be similar to clottey definitely fu.king up a mayweather negotiation, and pac will be seen by the casual fan to be beating on no namers or untested fighers, especially given that this is right after clottey. Margarito lends credibility to his name and guarantees excitement to the crowd. the ppv will be fine.
