dumbest things done in a boxing ring

A couple moments come to mind:

I remember seeing a lumbering heavyweight go back to his corner and sit with his legs crossed between rounds, like a society matron sipping tea.

In the NY Golden Gloves held at the Felt Forum, a young featherweight knocked his opponent down and kept kicking him in the head. When the ref tried to get hold of him, he wriggled free and ran around the ring, while both corners and Security tried to grab him. He jumped outta the ring, in just his trunks, and ran out of the arena into the freezing winter night. About two weeks later, it was reported he was shot to death.

Seeing Peter Mueller attacking everyone in the ring with a stool.

I looked around but couldn't find it. I've definitely seen it before on the internet and TV, and I'm almost positive the fighters were named Tony Wilson and Steve McCarthy. If memory serves, Wilson's mother attacked McCarthy so the fight was paused. After everything got sorted out McCarthy refused to continue, so Wilson won the TKO.
