    I've only been watching live boxing since around 2000 and had NO IDEA that some of the old megafights (apparently Frazer/Ali I and Hagler/Hearns from what I was told) took place on Mondays.

    Try pounding that into some of those big babies in UFC. I bet most MMA guys get there ass kicked more than boxers. Submissions are even less efective on the street than boxing especially if u got more than 1 guy fighting u.

    If i get into it on the streets then I'm doing my damnest to stay there win or lose. The guys who say this automatically want things on the ground when they're getting a beating standing up. They don't know the adjustments to make on their feet and just give up quickly and want to take it to the ground where they believe things will get better.

    You're right about multiple attackers. Once you go down everyone else standing around kicks the **** out of any part of you they can find. As long as you have space you can stay on your feet, use you legs, and sting the hell out of someone coming after you.

    I laugh when I hear that Floyd & Hopkins were never exciting lol.

    People saying Pacquiao or Floyd(depending on nuthugger) is the GOAT. Greb? Armstrong?Robinson?lol

    Joe Louis having "bad footwork" lol. His style was dependent on putting the most torque he could on his punches so he never was going to be a "bouncing on your toes" kind of fighter.

    I didn't read through the whole thread so sorry if I have repeats.
