Maloneys put his money were his mouth is and the challenge is down for Dunne ... £200k or a share of the purse !

Cmon Bernie this is the fight we all want to see England v Ireland ..sell out crowd over the water ... Has Dunne got the bottle or running scared ?

And if Dunne gets a good sponsorship deal for the bottom of his boots he will be quids in :rofl

That sounds like a pretty poor purse for a world title defence.

Yes, he's just been in with feared and avoided Panamanian Ricardo Cordoba, but he's running from Munroe?!? Catch yourself on.

Sponsorship deal for the bottom of his boots? Why? Because of Munroe's amazing KO power (below 50% I believe). Hilarious:-(

Fair point. I would have no idea what the smaller guys make but I would guess he could make more by fighting someone else. By the time he's done with tax and expenses out of that he's not gonna be flush.

    - Kiko Martinez is a big puncher

    - Rendall Munroe is not a big puncher

Is this too hard to understand. I suppose you'll come back at me with the A,B,C argument now (but Rendal beat Kiko, and Kiko beat Dunne, therefore Rendall will beat Dunne:|)

Not at all mate ... but lets face it Rendalls a better boxer than Dunne and he can take a punch better than Dunne ! ... so that adds upto Monroe wins Dunne loses .... never mind you have Darren Sutherland and I have to say he is a potential superstar !

    Fair enough about Sutherland:good

I can't agree with Munroe being a better boxer than Dunne though:verysad

I would say it would be a tight enough fight if it ever happened, but I would make Dunne a close but clear favourite. I definitely can't see Munroe knocking him out. This fight has points decision written all over it for me.

Does this deal mean that Maloney handles the promotion and not Peter's?

I think £200k is reasonable enough..... after all it isn't a REAL world title, only the WBA regular one.....

This fight will happen at some stage, probably late 09/early 2010.

I would guess Maloney would be the man as its his promotion company but it would require all parties around the table to discuss how Dunne would get a % split of the profits as they say !

Dunne needs to win a world title belt before he starts arguing about money.
