Eh? I'm really confused now. I thought he had won a world title? Or am I missing some some sarcastic undertone?

The WBA ordinary title is not really the World title,. Cabaellero has it, but as he is IBF champ he is WBA 'SUper' champ and Dunne is normal champ....basically Dunne's just the no.1 contender

I would hate to be all the guys spouting on here about him being a world belt holder. Very sad.

What a farce. Dunne is basically a interim belt holder. All this crap about him being the World Champ, bollocks. 200k is a good purse for someone who isnt really the world champ.

As I say, Vasquez and Marquez got less than that. I still thik Munroe should have a few more fights before Dunne though, I don't think he's ready.

Monroes one of the smartest fighters in the UK ... watch his fights ! ... he absorbs pressure knowing full well he will come strong - its a very clever mental as well as tactical game he played especially against Martinez ... he knew for the first 3 rounds Kiko would come out guns blazing so he covered up and muscled him around a bit - Martinez then looked burnt out during the mid and later rounds and looked dispondent as his gameplan wasnt working due to Monroes tactics ... ive seen a few of his fights and this is how he works ...

Yeah, I've seen all of his fights from Martinez onwards, but I don't think he has the power to stop Dunne (though that's down to technique and can be rectified) and if it's over in Ireland (one of the stipulations Dunne requested) I can't see Monroe winning a decision.

A few more fights (or a better training camp) and I'd pick Monroe, and, to be honest he's a hurtful body puncher and he might be able to stop Dunne that way.

how is bernard dunnes world title not a real one?! he beat cordoba who if im not mistaken beat the man you are refering to as the champ

if your still saying well its not a real title as he didnt beat the champion or the champ gave it up for other fights, basically it was a vacant title or something?

well then how is ricky hatton a two weight champ if he won a vacant belt at welter? or carl froch winning a world title against jean pascal a man whom shouldnt even be considered a top 10 super middle and went life and death against him for a vacant belt, or joe calzaghe wining a vacant belt against a eubank who was meant to be fighting as a cruiserweight or somethin in a couple weeks??????

or even more hilarious all the UK's 'world champions'-----WBU lol , "world champion micheal jennings" "former world title holder audely harrison" "world belt holder micheal gomez"

do me a favour, give the fella his dues

and your trying to tell me that if rendall munroe were to beat bernard dunne that you all and hte UK media wouldnt be saying "new world champion rendall munroe!"

Its got nothing to do with vacant belts. Dunne is the WBA Ordinary Super Bantam champion, Caballero is the WBA Super Super Bantam world champion. ****ed up I know but it really means that Caballero is the WBA's #1, not Dunne

His mandatory challenger will be John Ruiz's son..... as soon as he reaches 122lbs.

The title wasn't vacant and Caballero hasn't 'given it up'. Caballero is still WBA champion. Because he is now also IBF champion, the WBA designate their champion as 'super champion' and allow other fighters to fight for the 'WBA ordinary championship'. Basically they claim to have two world champions at the weight. Which is clearly bollocks.

dunne is the one who has to fight the wba mandatorys not caballero so dunne is more of a wba champ then caballero . its just like stripping caballero of the wba ordinary belt which and dunne fighting for the ordinary .dunne is as much a champion as juanma lopez ,and the japanese lad. dunne would get more than this fighting kiko martinez who would come a lot cheaper then munroe . dunne would make more then 200,000 . 200,000 would be the minimum amount dunne would be looking at at the o2 in dublin full house . i think dunne has bigger fish to fry anyway why should dunne fight someone who has lost to andy morris when he can fight the worlds best

well then instead of maloney trying to get qoute "world title shot" for rendall munroe perhaps the only fight that should be happening is caballero dunne......

excuse me but f*ck rendall munroe. maloney gave dunne the runnaround then ridiculed him for taking his "world title oppurtunity"

dunne only wants about 5/6 more fights so as Peters says hes going to chase the big boys of the division vasquez, lopez, caballero. win or lose hes taking his chances in vegas and go on an exciting journey......

at the end of the day fellas, you'll have to admit in the scheme of british boxing rendall munroe would struggle to get as many people at his fights as hatton, froch, haye, calzaghe, khan get at their weigh in........

bernard should chase his dream in america now and pass on maloneys generous offer to fight in a leisure centre in nowheresville.......
