This March, in the Point Depot. To be announced later this week.

What do people reckon? I've only seen Cordoba twice. Looks a good prospect, awkward and tall (for the weight) southpaw. Anyone seen much of him? Not 100% sure what to think about this. Initially heard he was fighting Caballero so obviously feel a lot better about his chances against Cordoba.

Cordoba had good power early in his career against lesser opponents. He stepped up and beat Caballero. Then he killed a kid in his next fight. The KO power seems to have diminished since then. Could be a case of better opponents are harder to KO or maybe he is a bit hesitant to pull the trigger now. Possibly a bit of both.

I'm a big fan of Bernard. We know he lacks the dig to discourage most top line boxers. Therefore his questionable chin means he is always vunerable. I do think he has the best pure boxing skills of any Irish fighter at the minute. Could be a very, very interesting fight.

No thats a story about Tommy Egan saying he can get Dunne a shot at Cruz for a world title. Think it was released by Egan to rock the boat to be honest. Egan wants the bigger slice of the promotional pie over here now and he's trying to stir up some competition with Peters. Dunne - Cordoba is due to be announced tomorrow.

Munroe deserves a shot more than Dunne. They should fight and the winner should get the dubious honour of fighting Cabellero.

No doubt Munroe vs. Dunne could be made an eliminator, they're both highly-ranked contenders.

This appears a really tough fight for Dunne.

From what I have read Ricardo Cordoba is a class act; I have never actually seen him box though, whats his style.

Matter of opinion there. Also there is the fact that Munroe hasn't looked for a world title crack yet.

Doubtful that the winner will fight Caballero. Why would the WBA super champ fight the regular champ so soon after both of them picked up their titles.

Dunne deserves this title shot a hell of a lot more than Munroe! Dunne won the EBU title with a much more convincing performance against Pickering than Munroe did V Martinez and his two title defenses before the slip up to Martinez were far better than Munroe's unimpressive performances in his recent fights.
Munroe would not take his chance against Dunne and before anyone brings up the "why should the champion have to travel" excuse, any boxer would jump at the chance to make a career best payday if they thought they would win the fight, Munroe turned down the chance as he knew, despite all his smack talking, that he would have his ass handed to him by Dunne if they met in the ring.
Now Munroe is fighting Martinez again and Dunne is stepping up ,and all I hear is how Munroe should be getting a world title shot! Munroe does not want a title shot, he is happy to fight part time taxi drivers until he is forced to fight decent opposition.
And it's so funny that the so called "humble binman" is going around mouthing off about how Dunne hardly looks like someone who would bother him!
Bernard Dunne is an excellent boxer and consumate professional and he has boxed the ears off every opponent put before him bar one.
He is rated at 11 by the WBA which is the belt he is going for, so tell me, why on earth does Munroe deserve a title shot more?

Oh by the way I found out today that Munroe was offered the shot and turned it down. So there you go. Simple as that

If it looks like a duck walks like a duck and sounds like a duck then its a duck!

Munroe also called out Wayne McCullough in the papers months ago and when wayne tried to get in touch with maloney he didnt get any reply.......:-(

Atleast rendal knows his limits hes done fantastically well in his career and no one can take that away from him.
