i know neither are british but i post more on this forum than the general and have followed dunnes career for a long time so **** it this guy cristian faccio i know nothing about i tried on youtube and came up with nothing, i know he has challenged for the wbc bw title thats it has anyone seen this guy fight and what are your opinions on him, this fight tonight, dunne and dunne's world title aspirations criticism more than welcome
Faccio's boxrec numbers don't make pretty reading. Looks like a bit of a duffer. Has a bit of a dig, but Dunne should be able to win comfortably. Cristian Faccio: 16 (11) - 3 (2) No notable wins. His three losses - 1 - World No.1 BW Hasegawa put him away in two rounds. 2 - KO'd in 6 by Sergio Victor Caruso (22-7-3) 3 - Lost a four round UD to Jorge Luis Infran, who was making his pro debut.
yep great wins for the British Dunne and the Irish David Haye tonight. Hopefully David Haye can bring home the World heavyweight title back to Ireland soon. It's been too long since We had an Irish champion(Lennox Lewis).
Yep, I was only kidding with the Irish thing. I think you have abused me about saying before. Not heard the result of the Dunne fight yet, did he do ok?
I know, which is why I gave a light hearted result back........it's difficult to sense tone while reading text. I watched the Haye fight as it was easier for me to do so(living in the UK now) but I can watch the Dunne fight whenever it's put up on RTE's website(which it should be by tonight) and you'll be able to make your own assessment then as it's not region encoded.
Hopefully Dunne can get back into contention in the division. Maybe move over to the states and get some big backing for a genuine push.
I thought it was some Garcia fella that Dunne was supposed to be fighting? Did he pull out injured or something?
the fight was actually a good scrap, the best dunne fight since pickering, good action fight was stopped as dunne had a terrible cut he had won every round on the cards but as i said it left a bad feeling in the arena because it was turning out to be a good affair it might have just been me but i slightly got the feeling dunne was planing his feet better and was generating more power than normal if his next fight is in dublin i might go
Garcia picked up a cut in sparring while training to fight Dunne. Faccio was the opponent on standby.
Obviously the cut is going to set Dunne back longer than expected, but do you think he might go for Garcia again or just go straight fro Munroe next?
That cut looked nasty i think he will go for munroe theres alot of talk between promoters already plus munroe is fighting in dublin next month so i think its heading down that path
Peters has apparently given Maloney a fresh offer of £60,000(to fight in Dublin) so I think that gives you the answer. Rumour is Garcia may get a shot at Gerry Penalosa's WBO Bantamweight title and considering he wasn't the opponent Brian Peters wanted the most for this bout(Bryan Vasquez, Sergio Medina, Oliver Lonthci and one or two others were ahead), I doubt Dunne will be meeting Garcia now. I'm starting to wonder if all this business between Maloney and Peters was to hype a Munroe v Dunne fight..............:huh
