Never stopped in a hundred or more fights:

    Carlos Monzon (100)
    Kid Gavilan (143)
    Panama Al Brown (167)
    Billy Graham (126)
    Willie Joyce (105)
    Pancho Villa (108)
    Duilio Loi (126)

There are several notables such as Charley Burley and Fidel LaBarba who were never stopped, but were just short of a hundred fights.

There are of course many fighters whose tarnished records don't do them any justice. Sandy Saddler was stopped once, in his second fight - Ray Robinson collapsed from heat exhaustion. Benny Leonard went through an amazing streak without being stopped, as did Jack Britton. John Henry Lewis and Tony Canzoneri were knocked out in the very last fight of their careers against notorious, heavier punchers.

    Can anyone name some more?

Of course both of these boxers were likely able to avoid being KO'd not so much because of their great ability to take a punch but because of their great defensive skills.

Well, Greb had one stoppage due to a broken arm, the other when he was a absolute novice. I don't count stoppages like that against a fighter in anything but the strictest discussions.

I take your point ,I am just presenting the stats ,for example Dillon had one of his two stoppages because he had just had a boil on his arm lanced and was unable to fight effectively ,so the referee halted the fight.

this is an interresting subject for a thread , but , there is nothing holy about the number 100 , quality of oposition is much more important , so : antonio tarver , reggie johnson , james toney , david tua , hector camacho .
there are more , i am sure :
langford , jorge castro , holyfield , ali , ray robinson , william lawrence stribling
also deserve mentioning despite being stopped.
for your exact question i really don't think i have an example : maybe greb , zivic they were stopped but more than 100

What's wrong with the quality of opposition Gavilan, Graham, Villa, and Joyce had?

Soldier Bartfield, stopped only five times in over 200 fights and was on the wrong end of some beatings.

A mix of both..see Monzon bounce right up after taking that haymaker from Valdez in round 2 of their rematch?

Well, if we're not purely looking at fighters that were never stopped, how about Henry Armstrong? He was KO'd in his debut, and then only stopped once on cuts after that (against Zivic), and that's it. Pretty impressive I'd say, given that he fought from featherweight through middleweight.

Nicolino Locche was stopped only once, at the end of his career, virtually on an eye cut tko against Cervantes. Most amazing of all, I think, was Billy Graham, who was never even decked, much less stopped. If that wasn't due to his chin, then he needs some serious mentioning in future defensive wizard threads.

It was a combination of having an iron chin and an air tight defense.

Ralph Tiger Jones certainly deserves a mention, he was only ever stopped once on a cut very early in his career, considering his quality of opposition that is rather impressive to say the least.

Reckon Henry Hank deserves a shout aswell...Pretty sure only a young Bob Foster was able to stop him in nearly 100 fights.
