Nothing. Because there is no one out there Floyd can fight that would compare to Sugar Ray.

    Question...

What would be the equivalent of what Hearns did to Duran???

lets see...considering duran fought the first 6 years mostly at light weight.......moving up to welterweight and beating a solid welterweight champ like Leonard.... floyd would have to fight someone like paul williams and beat him.....hes the most dangerous guy out there....and would give him the toughest fight

Something as equally impressive, but like Hearns vs Duran was, not that hard to believe?

What would be the equivalent of what Iran did to Hearns. :hey

Probably what you saw with Shane and Margarito...:yep

Except, Hearns gave a much better account of himself

So you are replacing Iran with Mosley and Hearns with Margarito?

I don't think it's similar at all. But to each his own.

There is none. It is not possible. Truly. There cannot be because there is no active fighter who could lace SRL's boots. Even Floyd outpointing B-Hop wouldn't be as good as Duran's win. It is the best win by any boxer ever IMO.

If Floyd beats JMM and Pac beats Hatton, then Floyd beating Pac would be the best win since Leonard-Hagler... but it would not be the equal of Duran-Leonard.

Duran is not inidicative of Mayweather. You can say Duran/Leonard as to pac/mayweather but marquez/mayweather doesn't bring to mind any connotations from duran/leonard. I think this would be more like Benitiz/Leonard.

If Floyd beat B-hop that would indeed be better then Durans win over Leonard. He would have to jump 70lbs over the course of a career to do it. Lay off the hash.

simply none, becuase there hasn't been another SRL since, but... floyd beating cotto would be similar to leonard beating benitez, or floyd beating williams i say would be the modern day equivelent of srl beating tommy hearns. if floyd would fight any of those 2 who are the fighters to beat 147-154, floyd would have the respect and have the biggest wins in his career. IF he beat them. shane as great as he is because of his age is unpredictable and has slowed down, i'd rather watch floyd fight cotto or pw

Mayweather started his world title career at 130, is now a 147lbs fighter, Hopkins is a career 160lbs-er and is now fighting at 175. Try a max of 45lbs and not 70lbs. And even then, Hopkins could get down to under 168 and Mayweather has fought at 154. Hop off Floyd's shaft and join the rest of us in reality.

Weight is not the most important factor, otherwise Pac-Oscar and Chagaev-Valuev would be two of the best wins ever.

Duran-Leonard is the best win ever because peak SRL at 147 was perhaps the most complete fighter ever, and one of the very best, and he was well beaten. A 44-year-old Hopkins is not a peak SRL.

nope. Williams would need to dominate the division first then Floyd come out of retirement for 5 years.

Just to be somewhat close to the equal.
