Duran cheating? Panama Lewis?

Didn't Lewis supposedly remove padding from Resto's gloves? Aren't gloves and wraps usually examined in depth before a fight... going back to the early 20th century at least? If Lewis did it all the time, I feel he would have been caught sooner and/or more often.

 

Why do folk miss the true point of this dreadfully biased mo mas shyte video, It's all ABOUT LEONARD'S EGO!! The whole programme was edited in such a way as to make SRL look the poor victim of an injustice, absolute rubbish, 1st) Panama Lewis had ZIP to do with the Duran camp, he was a leech, a hanger on, just another cronie in Duran's entourage, 2) It showed some geezar picking up a rubber chicken of the floor just after the end of the clip of Duran leaving the after fight presser. THE REAL TRUTH HERE is that the chicken was thrown at Leonard by Tommy Hearns who challenged Leonard at SRL's after fight presser & SRL refused to fight Tommy, stating that "When Tommy has beaten someone of the Calibre of a Roberto Duran then he'll fight him" so Hearns threw the Rubber chicken at him. But with the usual agenda editing this was left out!

The crux of this travesty of a programme was all down to the fact that SRL has never go over the fact that he had his arse handed to him in MontreaL, He was beaten by the better man, the better boxer, older/smaller/slower & SRL got DONE by the better man when both met on a level playing field!!

SRL knows that Duran has this movie coming out so he goes about hoping to destroy it in advance, this man's ego is stratospheric, he's a real mean nasty disingenuous ******* of a man, all the false bonhomie & cheesy smiles, whistful confusion on his face as if trying to solve a puzzle that in fact he created himself!

I thought with age I'd mellowed towards him, but after watching that 30/30 I was right all along, he is a Kunt of a human being, He didn't get the handle of "The ego maniacs ego maniac" for nothing, always twisting & turning. I'm not defending Duran in the least, but SRL has never stopped trying to undermine Duran, he just can't accept or will accept he got battered by Duran, after that Montreal fight SRL's managment went into overdrive by way of empolying any & all means albeit fair or fowl to seek an advantage beyond what can be construed as a level playing field!

SRL hates the fact that out of the fab 4 he rates as FORTH in popularity, He's respected 100% for being the warrior that he is...but...that don't mean to say you have to like him. To many machinations, smoke & mirrors with SRL. That programme just showed you what a devious duplicitous man he still is & always has been. Vicious green with envy nasty SOB.

Any mug on here attempting to caste aspersions that Duran had or would use loaded/tampered gloves....Is a WANKER!!

 

Theres no way Duran cheated in that fight against Leonard not with Ray Arcel and Freddie Brown in his corner and like others said he was a big puncher before and after Lewis worked with him. I dont see your nutthugging ass making the same assumptions and having the same suspicions regarding your man crush JMM who at near 40 years old starts to punch harder than ever after starting to work with a guy(Heredia) known for helping and facilitating athletes to cheat and get away with it , ****ing hypocrite.

That show basically showed that Ray Leonard is an empty dickhead with nothing better to do than fly to Pamana to bother a living legend who couldn`t care less at this point.

The Title of the show should have bee { 30 for 30 Sugar Ray Leonard Gayer than Ever!!!}

There are enough dickheads in the world ( typically big mouthed, small brained Yank Leonard fanboys, in my experience ) who believe Roberto was a coward. New depths must have been plumbed for those sort of lowlife's to come up with a CHEATING theory.


All one needs to know about Duran is the way America's so called super hard man didn't want to get too involved with him. Even though he had every advantage there was going for him.


This goon battered Hearns in 3 rounds. He spent 12 rounds chasing the gutless Leonard around the ring to no avail, but Hagler wouldn't commit himself to going at it with Duran, a former 135 pound fighter.
