I think in that era Mayweather would've been smart enough to stay in the 130 to 140 range, atleast until Leonard and Hearns left 147. He's DEFINITELY not fighting Hagler lmao. I could see a Duran match happening depending on when exactly we're dropping him into that timeline.

Neither do I...........................at least not at LW, or WW.

At SFW, I think Floyd would've given them hell. Uncle Roger was pretty consistently a top 5 guy during a portion of that. Boza Edwards, Lockridge, Camacho................I know I'm forgetting some guys, Floyd was right there.

But as far as higher in weight, yeah Roberto I agree he wouldn't "dominate". I think he'd be competitive anywhere you place Floyd but dominance......................

Well of course he wouldn't you had the likes of Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Benitez, McCallum, Camacho, Arguello, Pryor, etc.

But that's no disrespect to Mayweather literally no one in history could dominate against that competition.

I think the point being missed is nobody dominated that era. They all lost to each other.

So, it's not really a controversial comment.

It's not like one of them did and he's saying Mayweather couldn't do it, too.

I seriously doubt he could have beat Aaron Pryor at 140 lbs, too much frenetic attacks from the Hawk

One thing for sure, Floyd would not have been chasing money fights like he did in his era. He'd stick to 130 for the most part.

Duran would have him p.....g blood for a week
These dudes where a different breed. Floyd has the talent to mix, but I don't think he beats any if these 4. Maybe he could beat Duran at 147, but I wouldn't pick him as favourite

He isn't beating the naturally bigger Ray or hearns and he's not beating hagler at 160.

Floyd is amazing defensively, but these guys are all better than manny Pacquiao

When will you guys finally realize? Men lie. Women lie. Records don't lie. Floyd Mayweather is 50 and 0. :deal:

Agreed! Floyd was monstrous at SF, I think he would have been a tough fight for anyone in history at that weight.

True, anyone in history would have had trouble in that era. No matter how great they are, they are going to take a loss or two along the way.

I'm a pretty old-fashioned guy and prefer earlier eras to ours. The best often fought the best and I believe they did it more frequently than today, but there are so many fighters today that are "champions" and have belts and all that, it's ridiculous. If the best guys from the earlier eras were around today, they would have more belts than they'd know what to do with. They have belts coming out of their ass.

Floyd would have a better record against the big 4/Beneitz then Duran did. Probably doesn't run the table but Duran is living in a glass house here.

Mayweather is much smaller than 3 of them and I do think Mayweather beats Duran art 147 and 154. At 135 it's a pick em fight I'll lean towards Duran.

Kind of says a lot about Mayweathers greatness when people compare him to fighters in his 4th weight class

Like why don't we compare Leonard and Hearns to Roy Jones, Canelo, David Benavidez and Joe Calzaghe?

Ya he's always been a huge hater and his fans are a little bit delusional about Duran being unbeatable

He's like a superhero to them

He's like Chuck Norris but the only difference is his fans are serious when they act like he's unbeatable
