    Does Duran do better? Yes.

    Would Duran win? No.

Benitez matches up well against Duran style wise, and would do just enough to deserve a decision victory.

Fighting a prime Duran off the ropes is not the way for anyone to win. Benitez was just better at that weight and that stage than Duran. Duran lacked the speed and sharpness that would've gotten him the win prior. His inability to get in on Benitez had to do with his waning physical tools and the fact that Benitez was able to match him from a technical standpoint. He essentially had no edges and still won a decent amount of rounds on my card. At 147 he has the physical capabilities and the tenacity to gain the upper hand on Benitez in the trenches.
