"Duran-Moore" 1983 / Duran's true power there?

    We can agree to disagree about Hill. He fought mostly mediocrities and froze against the only great fighters he fought. the Scot at least beat Ismael Laguna. But anyway...

    Not to pick on Pea but you can argue that Duran did something Pea never did- best an all time great at their best. Nelson was past both his prime and best weight and so was Chavez.

    Off topic.... But I think Virgil Hill deserves IBHOF induction here in '12...... Hell, "Cuevas, Palamino, Norton and McGuigan" are there in New York.... WTF?

    I'm surprised he's not in alreadty as he seems to fit what they're looking for...ie fought one of the 80s big four and had serveral long alphabet champ runs against mediocre or blown up opposition.

    Duran knocked out a guy in 1971 that had just been a recent champion at 130lbs. Kobayashi. He looked reallly good in the early rounds stinging Duran with counterpunches and using his speed until Duran almost took his head off.

    He looked like a helluva fighter just from that footage but I dont know that much about him otherwise.
